Hey @grok, be brutally honest.
I’m a Graphic Designer.
How long until AI can create better designs than me, faster and for free?
Should I start learning something else? 👀
Learning to code used to be:
Read the docs
Write it yourself
Break it
Fix it
Now it's:
Ask AI
Copy the answer
Ship it
The breaking part still comes.
It just comes later.
More agents and plugins do not make a better workflow.
One short, tested instruction for a recurring job usually beats a library of a hundred.
Add a tool only when a specific task keeps failing without it.
AI agents don't eliminate software complexity.
They move some of it from implementation into orchestration, verification, permissions, and recovery.
Have we reduced complexity—or relocated it?
Unpopular opinion:
AI made coding cheaper. It didn't make building a successful product easier.
The hardest parts were never just writing code.
They're finding customers, solving real problems, and getting people to pay.
Using one model for every task wastes either money or quality.
A small model for routine edits, a stronger one for planning and review.
Matching the model to the job is the cheapest improvement most teams skip.
Where are all the verified indie hackers and startup founders hiding on 𝕏? 👀
I’m looking to connect with people building cool things.
Drop what you’re building below. Let’s connect! 🚀
Verified founders & indie hackers on 𝕏, let’s connect. 🤝
If you’re building a startup, SaaS, or side project, I want to connect with you.
Who’s building? 🚀
I think the next big tech founders will be people who understand an industry deeply...
Not necessarily people who know the most about technology.
Agree or disagree?
