Samaritan's Purse has opened a third site in Pensacola, FL in response to Hurricane Isaias. We are grateful to the Lord for the opportunity to serve families and bring them the love of Jesus in the midst of this difficult time.
“You hardly ever see anyone come this quick, so it’s just a blessing,” he said, thanking his neighbor for signing him up to receive help. “Some folks come up here and be mean or try to get money from me, but Samaritan’s Purse comes with the Spirit of Christ.”
🙏Join us in continuing to pray for all those affected by Hurricane Isaias as their recovery process continues. Pray also for our staff and volunteers as they work long hours serving families who have lost so much.

Distributions in Nepal are renewing hope!
Entire villages were washed away in August's catastrophic flooding. Now those who survived are grieving loved ones and starting over. Shelter material, hygiene kits and other supplies are reminding families that there is still hope.
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Lamentations 3:22-23
We give glory to God for the opportunity to link arms with our Christian partners on the ground to help those affected.
🙏 Join us in continuing to pray for the people of Nepal.

"I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship." Romans 12:1
"When you reap your harvest in your field and forget a sheaf in the field, you shall not go back to get it. It shall be for the sojourner, the fatherless, and the widow, that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands." Deuteronomy 24:19
🎉 Jean Winter just celebrated her 102nd birthday! She and her husband, Dr. Lou Winter, faithfully served with World Medical Mission nine times starting in 1985. No matter how challenging the assignment, they were always willing to go wherever a surgeon was needed— living their lives surrendered to God's will.
In 1993, they received the Great Physician Award, honoring their selfless service. We are so grateful for her and her late husband's service to World Medical Mission and their passion to share the love of Jesus!
Jean still loves seeing how God is continuing to work through medicine around the world and regularly reads her copy of On Call magazine. You can read the latest issue here: sampur.se/484kFM1

“And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, nor shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the Lord your God.” Leviticus 23:22
"His eyes are on the ways of mortals; he sees their every step. There is no deep shadow, no utter darkness, where evildoers can hide. God has no need to examine people further, that they should come before him for judgment." —Job 34:21-23

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
Prayer Request:
Please pray for our staff and volunteers serving around the world with World Medical Mission. Ask God to give them strength, endurance, and protection.
For Chris and Barbara Davies, the fury of Hurricane Isaias was followed by deafening, lonely silence.
Winds upwards of 100 mph along with driving rains tore apart their neighborhood in Milton, Florida, in a matter of hours. But it was the silent hopelessness afterwards that gripped their hearts.
“We heard the trees break; we heard the screams from the wind,” Barbara recounted. She bunkered in the bathroom during the storm as Chris braced his feet against the door to keep it closed. “And then silence. No power. The roads were covered. The poles were down. We were in the dark with nothing. It was quiet and our emotions fell apart.”
Things changed when they experienced God’s love through Samaritan’s Purse volunteer teams.
