Good evening, my fellow Californians.
Thinking about taking a trip to Central California coast. I've never been. Probably 4-5 days total beginning from San Diego.
What areas would you recommend I hit and stay in?
And so the offseason begins.
Not a surprising report considering King’s season and playoff starts.
Padres will have to re-sign King to get him back to San Diego.
Congratulations to the Brewers and their fans.
I know it won’t make Padres fans feel much better about the NLDS result (or maybe it does?) — but Milwaukee certainly put together a really incredible regular season and postseason run.
There was a bus stop during the 2019 Minor League season where I went to a Waffle House with a few players, including Trevor Megill — who was a Padres minor leaguer at the time.
Megill is now 3 outs away from closing out a World Series title for Milwaukee.
Time flies.
3 things you’re gonna think about if you’re a Brewers fan:
1. Using Megill for 1 out in 8th
2. Not using Miz in 12th
3. The Ortiz error
Still in prime position to take series. But man, that’s a toughhhh ending.
“To be able to narrate that inning is the honor of my career.”
@JoshMaurerPxP was emotional last night reflecting on being on a historic inning. How his broadcast partners set him up to call an 8-run World Series inning:

Congratulations to Ty France and Freddy Fermin on being named 2026 Gold Glove Award finalists!
ALT Graphic announcing Ty France and Freddy Fermin as Rawlings Gold Glove Award finalists. The background of the graphic is brown. Large gold text in the center of the graphic reads “FINALISTS”. In front of the text, there are two photos of Freddy Fermin and Ty France in the Padres home white pinstripe uniform. Ty and Freddy’s names and signatures are placed next to each of their photos. There are two logos on the graphic: “Rawlings Gold Glove Award” and “For The Faithful”.
A crowd of nearly 48,000 singing “All The Small Things” at the top of their lungs, trying to will the Padres to see another day.
San Diego trails 3-1. The top of the lineup due up in the bottom of the 8th.
