A room full of curious minds, a skill worth sharing, and plenty of smiles along the way.
Sometimes, the best way to start the week is by learning a new local income skill. Happy new week!

People learning skills, sharing ideas, and possibilities- that's always worth celebrating.
New week, new energy, same belief: Solutions From Within.

What began as a vision rooted in "Solutions From Within" found a home in communities here in Uganda, where young people were already turning everyday knowledge and local resources into income, and finding practical ways to build better lives for themselves and their families.
The people we meet, the local entrepreneurs we learn from, and the solutions we have seen taking root in communities have all shaped the movement we are today.
So, on this Independence Day, we celebrate Uganda, and, above all, the people who continue to shape what is possible.
For poultry farmers, disease outbreaks can quickly turn into costly treatments and lost income.
Andrew, a poultry farmer and Sawa World Solution Entrepreneur, saw this challenge in his own community and looked within for a solution.
What if the very things we throw away could fuel a cleaner future?
Through a community skills training provided by Sawa World in partnership with Amaaka Suubi Organisation, participants in the Katanga community, Central Uganda proved this.
The training was not just about making briquettes, but also how to turn everyday waste into something of value and a skill into an income opportunity, while reducing pressure on the environment.
Sometimes, a cleaner future does not start with something new.
It starts with seeing what we already have differently.

Biochar is one simple way farmers can restore their soil. Made from carbonized organic materials such as coffee husks, biochar improves the condition of the soil and creates a better environment for crops to grow.
Healthier soil can mean stronger crops, better yields, more income, and a better livelihood for farming families.

Honored to host Rt. Rev. Michael Okwii Esakhan, Bishop of Kumi, and Diocese of Kumi leaders. Together, we explored how the Diocese’s 25th Anniversary Initiative can align with Sawa World’s community-led approach to transformation.
Every big harvest starts with a small seed.
Urban farming is about more than growing food. It’s about taking control of what you eat, saving money, creating a healthier lifestyle, strengthening food security, and bringing more green into the spaces we call home.

Urban farming is about more than growing food. It’s about taking control of what you eat, saving money, creating a healthier lifestyle, strengthening food security, and bringing more green into the spaces we call home.
Start with the small, often overlooked spaces right around you: a backyard, balcony, compound, or even a few containers. At Sawa World, this is what we teach and practice because small beginnings can spark powerful change.
Take the first step, start with what you have and grow.
