I’ve been in the US for past 3 weeks without my laptop. So liberating. But I’ve been using the Yahoo Finance app. I’ve loaded up watchlists and follow the news. It’s superb. Gives you everything you need in the simplest of formats. And free. I’m a convert.

No Xmas cheer for the JSE - in the glow of the S&P’s 25% gain this year & the NASDAQ’s 54% rise, the JSE closed flat (-6% in $) with stalwarts: Naspers -8% Prosus -13% Richmont -18% British Am Tobacco -21% Anglos -32% Amplats -37% Harmony & Goldfields saved some blushes.

What a year it's been! And who better to reflect on the year with than @davidshapiro61 Thanks Uncle David!!!

Americans love adding “ity” to words. Optionality Negativity Positivity Religiosity Specificity And so on ….. Are these words Strunk and White would use?

CC2023 Award ceremony last Friday. Again congrats to Keletso. And thanks to sponsors, organizers and to all those who participated. Here’s to 2024! piped.video/glO0tZQFgXE

CC2023 The final tally. Thank you everyone for taking part & to our generous sponsors. We’re launching CC2024 in January. So plenty of time to think. Big prizes too. Competition will run from 1 Feb to 31 Oct - so we don’t have to rush prize giving. bit.ly/3l44b0N

The 2023 #CristalChallenge was fierce and definitely amazing to see the strategic moves of our 200 participants. To recap, check out the final leader board bit.ly/3l44b0N Stay tuned for the upcoming registration announcement with @davidshapiro61 #CC2023 #SasfinWealth2023

Karoooooooooooo Lately a lot of strange things have been happening with the share price. Not sure what’s behind it. Beside strange 40% move last week, yesterday the share fell 10% on trade in 9 shares in closing auction. Today in closing auction share was up 16% on 20 shares.

CC2023 Congrats to Keletso for winning CC2023. It was so close. Veneesh in 2nd place was only 0.20% behind. I came in 3rd a mere 0.4% behind Veenesh. Poor Anthony in 4th place felt the brunt of a sell-off in Cap Apprec. And Richard in 5th would have won if he held onto his DRD

Here are the 2023 #CristalChallenge runner-ups. The man behind the #CristalChallenge, @davidshapiro61, takes third place! Once again, let's applaud all the participants 🎉#CC2024.
