@vangrid_io's enterprise region scoping parameters today, and it hits on the biggest bottleneck holding enterprise Physical AI back: Data Sovereignty.
If a defense contractor, sovereign logistics network, or critical infrastructure manager wants to query real time ground truth, they can’t just pull spatial data from arbitrary global servers. ITAR compliance and local data residency laws strictly mandate that footage, point clouds, and location metadata never leave regional jurisdictional perimeters.
Testing their data rail pipeline revealed how Vangrid turns national data compliance into code:
▫️ Hardware Level Boundary Enforcement: Faces and vehicle plates are blurred on local mobile RAM before frame encoding, ensuring zero identifiable visual data ever crosses physical borders.
▫️ Region Scoped API Keys: Enterprise queries are restricted to hard-coded GeoJSON polygons. Any attempt to query outside authorized jurisdictional perimeters gets rejected instantly at the protocol level, not silently filtered downstream.
▫️ Localized Provenance Anchoring: provenance_hash signatures and Merkle attestations stay bound to regional execution nodes, keeping cryptographically verifiable receipts fully compliant.
October 2026 Live Public Ledger:
• 1,250,000+ spatial captures anchored on Base
• 450,000+ active mobile edge scouts
• 4,700+ EAS Merkle batch attestations
• $600,000+ USDC settled directly to physical scouts
Physical AI doesn't just need 3D data, it needs sovereign, compliant 3D data.
