Is this the strength in diversity we keep hearing about? France is facing the consequences of serious failures in immigration and integration policy. With another weekend approaching, are we about to see more of the same? Australia needs to confront the hard questions about mass immigration, assimilation and public safety now.

Visiting the Bell Bay smelter in Tasmania with Barnaby, it’s clear Australia has the capacity to stand on our own two feet. But Labor government in Canberra is getting in the way. Chris Bowen especially is taxing our productive industries out of existence and subsidising useless ones. Australia has everything we need to be self reliant, it’s just going to take a bit of leadership and vision.

Almost 80 per cent of Australians are concerned about radical Islamic terrorism, and they have every right to expect their government to take that threat seriously. Yet Labor continues to shy away from confronting the threat of Islamic extremism. Australians deserve a government that takes the threat of Islamist terrorism seriously, instead of pandering to extreme elements for votes.

Labor’s Digital Duty of Care Bill is another disgraceful attempt to control what Australians can see and say online. Anika Wells and the Albanese Labor Government are using “online safety” as an excuse to push even more government interference into our lives. One Nation won’t stand by while Labor chips away at free speech and tells Australians what they’re allowed to say online.

The Labor government is lying about their Digital Duty of Care Bill - they will use it to shut down and silence everyday Australians. One Nation will fight it every step of the way. And thank you to @shellenberger for the work you have done to expose Labor’s campaign of state sponsored censorship

Wow, wow, wow. I just left the National Press Club where Minister of Communications @AnikaWells spoke. She repeatedly and brazenly lied about the fake accounts, claiming they were only for enforcement, even though the legislation says in black and white that the eSafety Commissioner can use them in unlimited ways for "educational" and "promotional" purposes. One big moment came when a Politico reporter got up and said something about how mean people like @PaulineHansonOz were to eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman-Grant. Seriously. A supposed reporter was white-knighting for a government official during the official Q&A. The same reporter had come up to me before Wells' speech and asked if I had criticized Inman-Grant. Who needs government censors when you have Politico? After he asked his question, Wells showed the most emotion, describing online criticism of Inman-Grant as "abuse." She also talked about her own staff's supposed suffering. I kid you not. The mask dropped, and you could see what really upset her: people — including a sitting Senator — criticizing government officials. After gaslighting the audience about fake accounts, Wells repeatedly insisted the government wasn't trying to censor content. She said this after filling her speech with examples of content she claimed harmed people. You couldn't make it up. This legislation is the culmination of decades of progressives equating words with physical violence. Wells cynically compared her legislation to prevent psychological "harm" to various laws that protect people from physical harm, like seat belt laws. BTW, Wells never said what content it was that she thought caused eating disorders. Pictures of skinny women? Dietary advice? Who knows. Nobody asked. Another important moment came when Wells explicitly said Australia would be pursuing censorship alongside other nations, including the UK, France, and Spain—all countries where governments risk losing power to populists. I spoke with Julie Inman-Grant before the speech began and asked about the fake accounts. She insisted they were there just for enforcement, and when I asked why the law allowed them to be used for government propaganda, she said she might write an "enforcement memo," which, of course, would have no impact on the legislation. After her speech, I went up to Wells and asked if she was seriously saying the legislation didn't allow the government to use fake accounts for government propaganda. She refused to answer. A man who said he was from the National Press Club stepped in front of me and said I could interview her afterward. But that wasn't possible because they rushed her out the back to avoid any difficult questions. So there you have it. The pettiest people in Australia are seeking to silence citizens and their political opponents in the name of protecting children. These deeply intolerant and cynical people want to control what you can see and say online. And they're doing it with most of the media's support. Australia has reached a new low in its rapid descent into dogmatism, intolerance, and censorship.
The government today will introduce sweeping censorship that @AlboMP & @AnikaWells lie about. Below she claims the government wants to create a bot army of fake accounts for “research” when the bill clearly intends for them to be used in partisan warfare against fooled citizens.

One Nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the hardworking men and women of NSW’s timber industry. I took the fight against Labor’s Great Koala Con Job to the Senate this week, because the livelihoods of forestry workers, their families and entire regional communities are worth fighting for. Labor might be prepared to sacrifice Australian jobs for green ideology, but One Nation won’t stand by and let it happen. We back Australian timber, Australian workers and Australian industry.

NSW coal mines, farmers and industries deserve the confidence to grow and prosper without Labor’s destructive Net Zero regulations holding them back. It’s great to see NSW One Nation Leader Mike Newman commit to scrapping these regulations and backing the industries that keep our state moving. It’s time to put NSW jobs and prosperity first.

Labor’s Great Koala Con Job is another attack on Australian jobs and industry. Anthony Albanese and Chris Minns are putting green ideology ahead of hardworking Australians, threatening to destroy timber businesses and devastate regional communities. Mike Newman and One Nation won’t stand by while Labor sacrifices Australian livelihoods. It’s time to put a broom through Macquarie Street!

Journalist Michael Shellenberger says a meeting with two government staffers at Australia’s Parliament House exposed what he sees as a troubling lack of understanding about proposed censorship legislation. According to Shellenberger, the staffers argued the government needed greater powers to censor violent content online, including footage relating to the upcoming execution of Nidal Hasan. When he questioned why such material should be censored, he says the justification shifted to concerns about "copycat" violence, but staffers struggled to explain how the proposed powers would be applied consistently. Shellenberger also claims the staffers were unaware the bill could allow government agencies to operate anonymous bot accounts and conduct online information campaigns. Despite being presented with concerns about provisions they had not previously considered, he says they stressed that the government intended to proceed with the legislation regardless. He argues the proposed laws would grant broad powers to censor content depicting violent events, including material that may be newsworthy and in the public interest. Shellenberger believes this creates a significant risk of political misuse and reduced transparency. "The most alarming part," Shellenberger said, "was watching people defend a bill they appeared not to have read, while insisting it was necessary."

The @AlboMP government especially @AnikaWells are lying their asses off — “spreading disinformation!” — about why they want to censor and wage info war on their fellow citizens. They project their own stupidity on their fellow Aussies. It’s pathetic.

NSW One Nation leader Mike Newman has made his position clear. Within the first 100 days of being elected, he has committed to strip Net Zero from NSW laws and regulations. All of it. To remove unnecessary green tape, restore certainty for investment and stop taxpayers bearing the costs of an increasingly expensive system.

The Flydubai co-pilot who tried to hijack a plane and crash it into Tel Aviv started going off the rails into radicalisation while he was in Melbourne on an international student visa. UAE prosecutors say he got mixed up with people connected to an Australian Islamic centre called My Centre. That same centre later got more than $68,000 of Australian taxpayers’ money from the Labor government. In the Senate I asked a simple question: did anyone bother to check with ASIO or the Federal Police before handing over that cash? Did the minister or his department even do a Google search or look at the Facebook pages of these organisations before giving them taxpayer money? The minister wouldn’t give a straight answer. One Nation did a simple google search and found dozens of extreme Islamic hatred posts from the organisation. Australians deserve to know whether this government is doing even the most basic checks before it funnels hundreds of millions of dollars into multicultural groups and risks funding terrorism. Obviously, this government doesn't care. They're more interested in bribing radical Islamists with taxpayer money.

The Conservative Contract Today, we stand on the cusp of an orange wave of hope. That is why we have a duty to insist Australia is a nation worth loving and fighting for. A child who sees their parents stand up for something precious learns that it matters. They learn that there are things worth the effort, even when the effort is difficult. That is something every one of us can give them. Tell your children the stories of the people who came before them. Look after the older people who have so much to teach us. Be prepared to speak plainly. What we have in Australia, what generations built across Western civilisation, is too beautiful, too rare and too precious to give up on. We cannot know how far our own efforts will reach. But we can know, one day, Australians we will never meet will live with the choices we make now. Let’s give them good reason to thank us. Our children and grandchildren deserve to receive the gifts that were passed to us. So do those yet to be born. Keeping our end of that contract falls to every one of us. Let’s keep it together. Never, ever give up on Australia.

A fantastic weekend at CPAC alongside Pauline Hanson and Barnaby Joyce! One Nation is the most united, determined team, bringing conservatives together and giving Australians a genuine alternative to the major parties. With Pauline’s leadership, Barnaby’s experience and a growing team behind us, we’re ready to take the fight to Labor. Albanese has failed Australia. We’re coming to take our country back.
