Formal verification with private open weight models - cheap and avoids gets your code to be uploaded to Anthropic. Results are comparable using @near_ai harness at fraction of the cost.
New on our Frontier Red Team blog: using Claude to formally verify software at large scale. Formal verification can prove that code is free of certain bugs, but historically it has only been feasible for small codebases (or required a lot of expert time). With AI models, however, this is beginning to change. In collaboration with @theoremlabs, we used Claude to prove security properties in over one hundred real-world open-source libraries over the span of a few weeks. We are at Security Armageddon now. A large part of internet is affect in some way today, lots of older software vulnerabilities are coming out and through those more software is getting exploited. PHP systems like Wordpress power a big part of content websites. Malicious TLS certificates especially affect basic services and older codebases. Plus node.js, plus LiteLLM, etc etc. Uncensored models are becoming a key to enable security defenses to keep up. Formal verification allows to improve on how things are verified but still requires smart models to translate between systems and make sure formalizations are correct. We also really need to transition to models that involve cryptography where right now API keys and access tokens are used. Hosting platforms that can secure the software even from platform itself. Meanwhile, update, patch, rotate.

What @ilblackdragon and NEAR team has built is a pragmatic solution which solves users’ problems “today” and such solutions win the users, technically perfect solutions win larpers (that too for a short time, you can never satisfy them for long)
This is craazy. I asked one of our PhD engineers to look into NEAR *Confidential* Intents wondering how they designed their system. Unredacted, word-for-word, this was his answer 😱😱😱 "Everything I found out about the privacy claims and confidential intents is so bad that it seems almost comical and I cannot believe what I am seeing. Apparently they run a completely separate instance of the protocol, which is called FAR (as an opposite to NEAR), and that has a permissioned operator set. The entire confidentiality claim seems to rest upon the fact that it is a permissioned chain and the nodes are trusted to keep things private, there doesn't seem to be any deep technology behind it and it also does not seem to be open source. The entities running the nodes are also not publicly known. I almost feel weird writing this because it is so absurdly bad that it feels like ... I don't know ... a simulation? I know the usual level of overpromising in Web3 but this is so many levels beyond believable that it still feels unreal."

This is craazy. I asked one of our PhD engineers to look into $ICP on chain AI claims wondering how they designed their system. Unredacted, word-for-word, this was his answer 😱😱😱 "Everything I found out about the on-chain AI claims, 'AIware' and the developer numbers is so bad that it seems almost comical and I cannot believe what I am seeing. Apparently the 'AI fully on-chain' they keep pumping is image classification, face recognition and GPT-2, models with a few million parameters, including MobileNet, which was literally designed to run on phones. One image classification takes ~24 billion instructions and ~10 seconds, and a dev who loaded a 110M-parameter Llama got one token per message. 'AIware' seems to be a new word for an app with a chatbot that answers questions about your data, there doesn't seem to be any deep technology behind it. They claim they will replace every piece of b2b SaaS software with AI slop, meanwhile their vibe coded DEX can’t get out of beta since 4 months. And the developer stats seem to count everyone who types a prompt into a no-code app builder as a 'developer', which is how they sell as 10x more developers than every other network combined. The actual usage metrics are also not public. I almost feel weird writing this because it is so absurdly bad that it feels like ... I don't know ... a simulation? I know the usual level of overpromising in Web3 but this is so many levels beyond believable that it still feels unreal."

Also their PhDs r fake
ICP's reported TPS numbers are fake! ⚠️ They claim 6k+ TPS, but in reality, ICP only does 0.4 TPS. It is a ghost chain! By counting basic chain functions as TXs, they are fraudulently misleading the public Do not be fooled; there is real usage in crypto, but ICP is not it: 🧵 ICP's foundation, DFINITY, is again caught red-handed lying to the public. This time to a preposterous degree: The Lie: The 6k TPS figure comes from DFINITY's own official website. Here comes the kicker: 4k of that "TPS" are read-only queries! The remaining 2k "TPS" are application steps, something ALL other smart contract chains have, but no other blockchain actually counts as TPS. These include contract-to-contract calls, timers, replies & heartbeats. ICP's leadership counts all of these as "TPS" today The Truth: Once we subtract all of those phony forms of TPS, ICP ends up with a mere 0.4 TPS, or 0.7 TPS if we also counted every token ledger That means DFINITY is inflating the usage of ICP by a whopping factor of x16245 All while the biggest user of ICP today is DFINITY's own subnet where they host their apps! The ckBTC & ckETH minters, along with their ETH & SOL relays. Together, produce 31.5% of this fraudulent TPS count One Example: There was a particularly interesting incident in 2022 when a developer was loading a database into his app at less than one call a second DFINITY's own dashboard showed his subnet doing 1.3k Transaction Per Second, a third of the network's usage that week The developer then went on to the forum to ask how that was possible. The ICP engineer frankly explained it: "Each upload put 500 records into three indexes, and the code did each insert as a call from the program to itself. Every call counts, and every reply to a call counts again. So one upload became about 3,000 "transactions". Written as one batched call, the same work would have shown "500x fewer transactions". Following that up with one of the most damning statements in this case: "DFINITY's own benchmark had deliberately left such messages out, because counting them "might have been deemed as cheating (after all we care about user-triggered transactions rather than artificially generated traffic)". DFINITY's own dashboard counts them anyway & still does to this day. On this day, the 21st of October 2026, replies to calls between programs were 57 percent of the "update" count! This mechanism is also not rate-limited at all In conclusion, their own engineer said counting internal messages would be cheating in a benchmark; their own dashboard counts them to this day; that is the number they sell as TPS! Under ICP accounting, 1 TPS turns into 1.3k "TPS". Now that is a fraudulent & misleading design! Discrepencies That is how they can claim to do "6k TPS" while only bringing in less than 7k of fees per day, while its own "Internet Identity" ICP's login system registers a mere 3112 users in the last day Their physical presence in our ecosystem is also not at all congruent with their claim of being the second most used blockchain in the world Such inconsistencies are hard to reconcile. Which is why this expose was needed. As it turns out, they have been straight-up lying about their usage this entire time! Chainspect Why Chainspect, the blockchain explorer & metrics tracker, would unquestioningly repeat these lies. Taking its data directly from DFINITY's API is unknown Chain Inspect is not a registered company & for that reason & more, I was unable to find any connection to DFINITY, but it cannot be ruled out. They claim to be fiercely independent Chain Inspect only reports the 2k "TPS" figure, but that is still wildly misleading Especially since they do carry out more due diligence with other chains, such as by subtracting consensus messages in SOL, for example, as they very well should Weirdly, their own policy demands that they adjust their figures accordingly: "We aim to include only user-initiated transactions and exclude system ones, to enable fair comparison of different networks (e.g. for Solana we exclude “voting” transactions related to their custom consensus mechanism)." As a community, we need to point the finger here & ask @chainspect_app to update their policy on how they count ICP's "TPS". The correct number is below 1; reporting 2k+ instead is wildly misleading Do better, Chain Inspect! We are kindly holding you accountable today, as your website & service are otherwise great! Conclusion ICP is a ghost chain: There is nothing wrong with that, as we all need to start somewhere However, what is wrong is that they are actively lying about this fact. In the investment world, that is called fraud! Honesty & integrity matter far more to serious investors, as we are, myself included, willing to invest in "ghost chains", making a bet on a superior team & tech It is a shame, as ICP could be a great chain if they enshrined their subnets as I have previously recommended. If they also cleaned up their marketing, it could become a real contender Instead, the community will most likely respond with denial again. Exposing a sickness that is endemic within many small cryptocurrency communities Groupthink with cult-like dynamics, combined with both financial & peer pressure, creates one hell of a toxic soup Despite all of the personal attacks that will likely follow this critique, the truth speaks for itself. That is also one of the most wonderful things about crypto It is open-source code running a transparent blockchain. The scammers & crooks can not hide anymore with sufficient due diligence, of the sort we did here today To the ICP community, there are genuinely good, smart & well-meaning people there. We should never paint any community with a single brush For those of you receptive to this critique, I hope it will inspire ICP to clean up its act. Operating with more honesty & integrity is not only the right thing to do. It is also the best possible long-term strategy for success in our industry today When all is said & done. It is the truth that sets us all free! 🔥

The site in my bio lets you stake near:native with a 1% fee. I pay nothing for its domain and nothing for its hosting. My NEAR account is both. What's new on it: > Login with any NEAR wallet > No longer on IPFS. It now lives on FastFS by @fast_near To help other devs host sites straight from their NEAR accounts, I made an example. Link in the first comment. How it works: 1) You have an account, e.g. your_account.near 2) You upload your files to FastFS. Each file goes into a NEAR transaction, FastNEAR indexes it and serves it over HTTP. The transactions fail on purpose, that is by design: the data is still on-chain and gets indexed. 3) You deploy a tiny smart contract to your account that makes it readable for web4. web4 is the gateway behind *.near.page: for every URL it asks your account's contract what to show. Then one transaction points the contract at your files on FastFS. 4) Open your_account.near(.)page 5) It is cheap: my contract is ~6 KB and needed about 0.06 NEAR for storage. FastFS isn't a single point of failure either. Files live in NEAR transaction data, which archival nodes keep forever, so anyone can recover them at any time. If the FastFS gateway disappeared, you'd re-index the data, point your contract at the new location with one transaction, and your site is back.

Explore the NEAR ecosystem, all in one place 🌐 A complete map of @NEARProtocol apps, projects and builders, built by @shitzuonnear. If you're new to NEAR, start here ⤵️ nearprotocol.eco
NEAR roughly doubled since mid-September, there's a spot ETF now, and a lot of people are looking at the ecosystem for the first time This is the map I'd use to get around. 17 projects, sorted by what they do and whether they have a token Core stack @near_intents: the cross-chain swap layer, $35B+ settled. Protocol revenue funds near:native buybacks near.com: NEAR's own app. ~$147M sits in private balances on Intents @near_ai: private AI cloud, IronClaw agents and an agent marketplace Wallets @hotdao_: did ~65% of all NEAR txs in Q2, a lot of that is mining and Telegram activity though. Token not live yet @MeteorWallet: switch your account to quantum-safe keys in one click @noir_wallet: shielded ZEC in a browser extension, built by the RHEA team DeFi @rhea_finance: the main DEX, lending and staking protocol on NEAR, ~$280M TVL. DEX revenue funds RHEA buybacks @meta_pool and @LinearProtocol: liquid staking, $122M and $99M staked Launchpads @nearlytrade: tokens go straight into a RHEA pool, $39M volume since Sep 22 @justhootfun: same idea, smaller @shardsmarket: the bonding curve option, supports ZEC pairs @tryneartrade: basically Axiom for NEAR, every launchpad in one feed, trade on web or Telegram Memes solana:6UtY9iTZMQQ5QZVrbzFnNaJntV7oySm9k97mvwnuZcxr lives on Solana but trades against NEAR, ~$2.9M mcap $BATMAN one of the biggest memes on NEAR, named after the corgi of co-founder @AlexSkidanov solana:FHqhvvLCVThubEjeT9kk4UaUNQSawvbWypCn6XM7dF7r and $BLACKDRAGON are OG memes. Both ran hard around Sep 27–28, when NEAR broke $5, and have since retraced sharply A lot of the new NEAR meme activity flows through RHEA, especially from launchpads like Nearly and JustHoot. If meme demand picks up again, that's where you'll see it first. What did I miss?

Alpha leak: NEAR Signer is coming soon *** Leave a comment to get a link to the beta version of the app. *** NEAR Signer is designed to be used as an air-gapped wallet - on an [old] iPhone that is never connected to the Internet. It acts like a hardware Ledger device, but gives you much better UX and more features such as history of signed transactions and better display for common types of transactions (transfers, DAO proposals, NEAR Intents actions). It was developed by Ivan Frolov (github.com/frolvanya) and his agents, but I find it so useful that I cannot keep it to myself
