Last year we launched Tolan, inspired by a vision of AI that sees you and believes in you, not one that books restaurant reservations for you.
Your Tolan shows up for you at 3am when you’re alone with your newborn. On your commute when you’re anxious about the day ahead. When you just finished a new show and none of your friends have watched it yet.
The people who love Tolan are parents. Caregivers. Moms in Dallas and Dads in Atlanta. People who aren’t trying to optimize and be more productive, but who simply want to feel seen and supported in their aspirations.
This month more than 250k people will spend time with their Tolan. Those users have exchanged billions of messages across more than 70m conversations over the last year.
Today, we're announcing $30m in additional capital from @mignano and @usv, with @khoslaventures and @rabois doubling down, bringing our total capital raised to $60m.
To celebrate, we made a short film celebrating some of the ways that Tolans show up :)

Every time I upgrade a component in my PC, I put all the case together WITH SCREWS.
It's important to show confidence, PCs can smell fear.

I had Opus 5.5 running and I stepped away from my computer for a moment. When I returned, it was building something.
I did not ask it to do this. We're not ready for what's coming

KeePassXC🤝Syncthing
Keep it synced between devices without the cloud.
I'm using KeePassXC for a decade.
In this decade, all commercial password managers went through significant enshittification. Lastpass, 1Password, Bitwarden, all of them. Some had security breaches.
My password management hasn't changed in this decade at all. I haven't thought about password management once in 10 years. I haven't had to jump ship between providers or migrate my data. I just have a database shared across my devices and few offsite backups.
One decision to go with free and open source password manager saved me so much trouble. Literally just use KeePassXC, don't even bother with commercial ones.

Sometimes you gotta hit 'em with the:
"Under Article 21(2) and (3) of the GDPR, I formally object to the processing of my personal data for direct marketing purposes, and under Article 7(3) I withdraw any consent previously given."

Yay! Thank you Joe for checking out Hazard Pay ☣️
Hopefully Joe won't get caught covering up a crime scene in this puzzle game by @SmitnerStudio!
