Paying influencers before your product converts is the fastest way to waste $5k. If they crush and your conversion rate is still garbage, you just bought proof your funnel is broken. Fix the funnel first. Then buy traffic.

When I was 16 years old I watched ‘The Social Network’ and became obsessed with coding I built simple websites at first and eventually graduated to building mobile apps The second app I build was called Wordle… it was a decent game that got downloaded about 90k times before I moved on from the project The app sat in my apple developer account, until in 2021 another developer named Josh built a web based game, also called Wordle Josh’s game went viral across the world. Tons of people were searching for his game… but most of the time when you search for a game you go to the AppStore, not google Naturally, people searching for his game went to the appstore and downloaded my Wordle instead A lot of other app developers tried to copy the exact game but Apple removed all of the copycats… except mine because it was the OG built before any other Wordle existed Apple wiped out all the competition for me. I was the sole “Wordle” available on the appstore Google also showed my app link as the second result after Josh’s. Wordle was the most googled word globally that year… lol My tiny mobile app was downloaded over 10M times in the span of a few weeks It changed my life forever. I still build apps to this day.
What’s the lore behind choosing your career path ?

Our best campaign at Posted in terms of acquisition cost isn't aimed at new people. It retargets people who watched at least 50% of our videos. They already know you. Show up again. and again. and again.

When a video goes mega viral, reply to a comment with a video. I had one hit 100,000 views in the first hour. My reply video was a straight sales pitch, nothing but the app. Everyone goes to the comments. You're stealing traffic from your own viral video. That's where you sell hard.

The best free app marketing tactic right now is one almost every founder is sleeping on.

building in public is fun until you realize your followers are all other builders. they'll like your launch post. they won't download your app. your customers are scrolling tiktok & IG, not reading founder threads. go where they are. that's the whole reason posted exists. creators who already have your users' attention make content for your app for free, and you only pay to boost the ones that hit.

Before you spend a dollar on UGC for your app, answer these 5 questions: 1. Who exactly is this for? 2. What's the one promise the app makes? 3. What metric decides if a video worked? (installs, trials, not views) 4. What's your kill rule for losers? 5. What's your scale rule for winners? Most founders skip all five and wonder why their creator budget disappeared. On Posted you don't pay for the content upfront. Creators make it for free, our AI tests it in live ads, and your money only goes behind what's proven.

This app founder told me he had a $70 daily budget to run ads He had big problems: - no ad accounts - no mmp - no creators - no content Told him to just launch a posted autopilot campaign The day he launched the campaign saw a huge spike in traffic & downloads Here are his results ⬇️

Paywall cheat code: The 3-Screen Trial Close Don't put your trial terms in the fine print. Break it into three separate, less aggressive 'paywall priming' screens: Screen 1: "We want you to Try this for free" Screen 2: "We’ll remind you before the trial ends" Screen 3: "Unlock everything now" Make the user feel safe to convert. (this is the only actual paywall screen) Builds a ton of trust with any user hesitating about your free trial

If you have 20-50 users on your app, congrats. That's a classroom full of people using something you built. That's not nothing. That's everything.
