Democratic activists fighting for true campaign finance reform.

Today marks 16 years since the Supreme Court put a price tag on our democracy with the disastrous Citizens United vs. FEC decision. The ruling fundamentally changed our campaign finance system by opening the floodgates to unlimited and undisclosed money in our elections.

This year, super PACs received $4.2 BILLION from 515 donors who gave at least $1 MILLION. A small number of the ultra wealthy are dominating our political landscape. Oligarchy is crushing our democracy.

If you can’t agree to not trade stocks, if you can’t pledge to not become a lobbyist, you have no business serving in public office.

Dan Sullivan has made it clear who he works for, and it isn’t Alaskans. It’s the special interests bankrolling his campaign and the corporate greed crushing families statewide. On Tuesday, we’re sending Dan a message – Alaska is not for sale.

.@JamesTalarico: You wanna know why they are spending $300 million against us? Because I don't take their corporate PAC money and I never will. I don't work for them. I work for you. They know that when we win this race, I'm gonna vote to ban corporate PACs and super PACs, so billionaires can't buy our elections. They know that I'll vote to ban members of Congress in both political parties from trading stocks and enriching themselves while they're in public office. They know that I'll vote to ban gerrymandering nationwide in red states and blue states alike. And they know that I'll vote to pass term limits so we can show these puppet politicians the door.

Corporate special interests and big-money donors have too much influence over our elections. Prop 4 gives Californians more tools to push back and puts more power in the hands of voters and communities. 🗳️ Vote YES on Prop 4.

I’ll give you that. You know what’s wrong in healthcare because you’re what’s wrong. Ralph Alvarado has literally been implicated in Medicare fraud, and profited while he drove nursing homes into the ground.
As a practicing doctor for 30 years, I know what’s wrong in health care, how to bring prices down & where to install transparency. @ZachDemboKY would just pile more government bureaucracy onto a costly & subpar system that government already broke. Dembo supported the policies that broke the health care system. It will take a doctor to fix it.

I won't be able to outspend the billionaires supporting my opponent, but I know that we can outwork them. We can have a government that works for us. It's our time. Let's get to work and win this thing.

Congress seems to work for everyone these days except you. Corporations and big money buy off corrupt politicians like Ryan Mackenzie. They cast votes that line their donors’ pockets while screwing us over left and right. I’m running for Congress to smoke out the corruption and fight for working families. And I’d be so proud to have your vote tomorrow.

DC is riddled with corruption, and Ann Wagner is no exception. For 13+ years, she's traded investments tied to companies she's supposed to be keeping an eye on, while taking campaign contributions from those same industries. Enough is enough. #MO02 #TeamWellman #Corruption

We wrapped up another great canvass launch with @Bobharvie_PA01! Bob is running a people-powered campaign to lower costs and pass real anti-corruption reform for #PA01 families. We’re proud to stand behind him.

Volunteers were fired up at today’s canvass launch for @VoteBobBrooks. From Day 1, Bob’s campaign has been about putting the working families of #PA07 first, and on Tuesday, they’ll vote to help him flip this district.

In the state legislature, Joe Mitchell voted against capping the cost of insulin and then took a check from Pfizer. On Tuesday, we need to send people who will champion working people, not the ultra wealthy and big corporations.

Mike Rogers owns up to $2.6 million of investments in companies that would benefit from the data center boom. He's not looking out for you. He's looking out for his investments.

NEW: How do you get money out of politics without overturning Citizens United? Montana has a solution. The I-194 ballot initiative would stop artificial persons, including corporations, from contributing to campaigns and political parties. It could change America as we know it.
