Alex Caruso talked to me about Bennett Stirtz’s continued confidence and productiveness in his increased opportunity due to OKC’s injuries. Over the last three games, Stirtz is averaging 12 points on 10-of-17 shooting (58.8%) from three.

In tough times, the Thunder are starting to revert back to the mentality they had when shorthanded during the 2024-25 Title season. Finding crafty ways to flex different player’s strengths in order to get tough wins. They’ve done that on back-to-back occasions against the Cavaliers.

Cleveland came out of halftime on a 9-0 run...then OKC asserted themselves and headed into the fourth up by 14 points, 88-74. Shai scored 16 of his 26 in the quarter + 8 assists. Benny has 16. Ajay Mitchell has 14 points and 6 rebounds.

It's starting to feel automatic when Stirtz is open on the 3. He's 4-for-7 on the night. He's going to be huge for OKC moving forward this season.

Hope the young hoopers say the spin Shai put on that ball and how that's literally the only reason that last 3 went in.

I'm not finding many instances where Ajay Mitchell can't get to the basket when he really wants to get to the basket. That speed + strength combo is hard to stop.

Micah Peavy has already shown three ways he can help OKC. He can defend, knock down shots when called on, and, as he’s shown tonight, create extra possessions on the glass. He grabbed seven rebounds in the first half, three on the offensive end.

The Thunder got four second-chance attempts on that last possession before an Alex Caruso make from 3. I know I said Cleveland is a Playoff team, but they haven't looked like it in the last two games.

Dominant first quarter for the Thunder, scoring the most first-quarter points this season, while holding Cleveland to 20 points the hard way. OKC leads 37-20. Hussle scored 10, SGA added 9 points and 4 assists, while Benny Stirtz scored 8 quick ones.

The Thunder are putting on a defensive masterclass in the first quarter. They lead Cleveland 25-9 and have allowed just four field goals in nine minutes.
