Yes you need to be able to pull the ball on a line with good direction. However, if all of your tee work and BP is pull side, out and around, uphill topspin, way out in front, you will be very disappointed come game time.

Warm up the body to hit - simple mirror dry swings. Posture - direction - path. Forward bend should transition to side bend. Allow the bat to work around the body in a smooth arc. @maddie_stitts00
