I’ve seen a lot of high-level shooters in North Carolina.
At this point, I haven’t seen a better pure shooter than Wes Hilldale.

/// 6'4 2027 CG/SG David "DJ" West Jr's (@_DJwest3)
@3SSBCircuit Session 1 & 2 Highlights. Averaging 6.4 Pts, 4.3 Rebs, 2.4 Asts, & 1.5 Stls (leads the team in stls) on a Shooting Split of 40/25/67.
DJ is a high basketball IQ player that’s grown up around the game, absorbing knowledge and understanding from high levels while being around his father.
He’s always had natural shooting touch/mechanics, but has also shown increased quickness in decision making getting downhill, seeking contact, and improved handle ability to comfortably operate as a secondary offensive initiator.
He shouldn’t be viewed as a “late bloomer,” more so just a younger prospect that only turned 17 years old last week and is beginning to come into his own physically.
Already wearing a size 16 shoe, which could point towards more growth still coming.
Recently picked up his first Division I offer from University of Toledo.

Honored to be recognized at our Trinity Academy athletic awards ceremony last night for reaching 1,000 career points in my junior year.
Proud of the successful 25-3 season we had as a team and grateful for my teammates, coaches, family, and everyone who supported me along the way. 🐅🏀

Wesley's one of the NC's best snipers regardless of classification. Recently receiving his first offer by The Univ. of Toledo, expect an extreme uptick in the level of recruitment after his consistent showings in both sessions‼️

...Garner Road (NC) wins a big time matchup...
➕Garner Road (NC) gets it done over Upward Stars (SC) — balanced attack vs high-end shot-making➕
➕Nylan Rush led the way with 20, while DJ West (14) and Jordan Page (12/4/4) kept things controlled and efficient. Tyson Thompson added 13 + interior presence➕
➕Upward Stars had firepower — Josh Leonard (25, 10-11 FG) and Colt Fowler (21 & 7 AST) were productive — but Garner Road’s depth and balance won out➕

(Garner Road 3SSB) Wesley Hilldale is a pure catch-and-shoot specialist with a no-dip release, one of the cleanest shooters seen all day. Provides critical floor spacing for a team that thrives attacking the rim, forcing defenses to stay honest on the perimeter. Also holds his own defensively with a strong build and the ability to stay in front of his matchup. He finished with 21p and 4 3PM
