Working overnight this Sunday, 25 October?
At 2am, the clocks go back to 1am meaning you will work an extra hour
If your shift or on-call period means you work that extra hour, exception report the additional time worked and likewise for breaks not taken on time.

Large text reads: “This weekend the clocks go back.” The word “clocks” includes an alarm clock illustration in place of the letter O. Below, text reads: “If this means you could be working for longer, or that you’ll breach safe working requirements, make sure you raise this with your employer in advance, or file an exception report.”

We condemn these deliberate attacks against healthcare in Sudan, which are in clear violation of international law.
Healthcare is increasingly under attack in conflict zones and more must be done to stop this.

Doctors’ London Weighting has been frozen since 2005. Enough is enough.
Today, BMA London has written to NHS London’s Regional Director calling for employers across the capital to come to the negotiating table.
If you work in London, vote in our indicative ballot below 👇🏼
Your collective action has secured additional posts across 48 training programmes, plus 32 new academic clinical fellow posts.
On top of that last year’s Round 1 competition ratios are down significantly.
This is progress, and we’ll keep fighting for even more training posts.
ALT Graphic for Resident Doctors in England. Headline reads: “More training posts. More opportunities to progress.” Statistics shown: “1,000+ new training posts delivered”, “32 higher training programmes”, “16 core and run-through programmes”, and “32 new academic clinical fellow posts”. Text at the bottom reads: “We secured this through your collective action.” A doctor wearing scrubs and a stethoscope appears on the right-hand side.

A real terms paycut doesn't show a workforce you value them, it will do nothing to keep doctors in the country and will not help improve experience of patients in the NHS.
Emma Runswick, deputy chair of BMA Council, on the Government's proposed 2.4% pay uplift for doctors.
London Weighting for doctors has not increased in more than 20 years, it no longer reflects the reality of the spiralling costs they face.
Doctors in London are taking part in an indicative ballot over whether to take further action.

The audacity of a government listing “higher inflation, energy costs and reducing income” as arguments to cut NHS staff pay.
NHS staff also face these things, and they’re not in government, they’re not in the unique governmental position to materially influence them, unlike… 🤔
Cutting doctors’ pay won’t keep them in the NHS.
The DDRB must show its independence and recommend what patients and the NHS need, not what the Government is prepared to pay.

Patients need doctors, but if doctors are going to stay working in the NHS, then they need to feel valued. A 2.4% uplift, yet another sub-inflationary pay rise, is not the way to tell a workforce you value them.
The Government have recommended yet another sub-inflationary pay rise for an already beleaguered medical profession. Cutting pay is not the way to tell a workforce you value them.
