Had one of those nights where all the vibe coded pieces collapse in front of you and you realize engineers are still very, very much necessary

It's been a little too long since a model release... something feels wrong

built a site that takes 160 rss feeds (still adding more), indexes thousands of articles daily and zips them up into posts (usually about 2/day) it uses Jev, gpt and claude models for indexing & some of the content writing and the human element comes from picking which ideas seem the most interesting what's really cool is that i'm finding the content surprisingly valuable (it's targeting product/design) it's also one of my favorites from a design POV radar.zurb.com/

Become a high-luck machine People don’t realize the roadmap is simple - work your ass off - grow strong networks - learn new skills - consume high-quality information (books n shit) - do stuff and throw it out into the world 24/7 Please put in the effort to have a better life

It's actually insane how much I'm getting done with Opus 5.5 and how little I'm actually using

sticking to truth is imo one of the best strategies even for business

Maybe the real strategy is to do the opposite of whatever your brain wants to do
software and intelligence are now cheap so what do you build? what do you do? you’ll find the answers by listening to your child like curiosity and wonder

this is actually wicked cool
OMG the Tesla Roadster just flew in the air!

Lovable is becoming a "do everything" platform Tools that control the code have a significant advantage because they have ownership by default on every part of the process of an application Advertising, analytics, user testing, there's almost nothing you can't hook it up to since you have most, maybe all of the project's context Things are going to get wild lovable.dev/blog/introducing…

does it make a ton of sense to self host today?

writing IS thinking. it’s also good for your soul start every day with an hour of writing, whether it be planning, reflecting, or jotting ideas and content down your brain feels so much more fluid and clear for the rest of the day
i love writing. i never let agents write for me. whether it's docs, or tweets, or shitposts, or even prompts (okay maybe that one's harder as agents manage other agents) there's a simple reason for that: i still strongly believe that writing is thinking. it's a skill i hope to never give up. it's also important to me that whatever i say is always authentic, mistakes and all. my favorite posts are the ones that i just full send without any editing i suspect it also helps with prompting. being able to clearly express what i want, and knowing the vocabulary i need to be able to direct my agents does seem to make for more effective usage of agents. in the same way that engineers have an advantage when we prompt agents to write code, because we are intimately familiar with the words that make up the discipline knowing the right word incantations to get an agent to produce a desired goal almost feels like spellcasting. as models get more capable, and that input box looks more and more like a magic box that can output anything, words become the interface between you and the genie there may come a time when we give up the keyboard in exchange for brain-computer interfaces. but until then, i'm writing every word.

I haven’t heard about Jared nor Bun in a few months…
Many people were saying Bun was dead after the acquisition. Then again after the Rust rewrite We’re having fun proving them wrong

getting zucked left and right and all over
how is OPENAI getting mogged by fucking META?
70
"the most ironic outcome is the most likely"
Meta is a frontier lab now. OpenAI has fallen into 3rd place. I think Google is kinda screwed.

Pixelmatch is so underrated and probably underused... Works really well for huge migrations for UI work You can see the percentage amount of how much a page changed based on a pixel equation Immediately tells you what components are and aren't safe!
