CIMR's mission is to determine the molecular mechanisms of disease in order to advance human health.
We're honoured to be joined at our Annual Symposium by Prof Gillian Griffiths of @TheCIMR for our opening keynote lecture. Prof Griffiths is discussing 'Cancer assassins: co-ordinating swarming, migration and killing in a single shot'.

Scientists at @TheCIMR and @UKDRI have shown that a glaucoma drug protects zebrafish and mice against build-up of the protein tau in the brain.
Although it's very early stage research, it could point to a potential new treatment for dementia and Alzheimer's disease in humans 👇
Our first cohort of students on our MPhil course 'Molecular Mechanism of Human Disease' are settling in so it's time to open applications for next year! Deadline is 3rd December and you can find all the details here 👇
On half term or know a year 12 student who is? It's the perfect time to apply for our work experience programme ISAC/M, run over Feb half term with @MRC_MBU . All the details and application link here: cimr.cam.ac.uk/inspiring-sci…
Visit the @TheCIMR exhibit at RAREfest24 (23 Nov) to discover how researchers go about uncovering the basic biology behind rare diseases. Take a look through their microscopes at all the different cells involved. From small details to big discoveries! 🔬
