Got out of the nucleus! Tested ~30,000 tiles from human RNA-binding proteins, found lots of domains that downregulate RNA&built an inducible synthetic RNA-binding protein for keeping target RNA at constant intermediate levels: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… So many follow-up projects!
Do human RNA-binding proteins have modular regulatory domains that downregulate RNA lifetimes? Our preprint @BintuLab studying this question is now out on bioRxiv, where we indeed identify small domains in RBPs that potently induce RNA degradation! biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/… (1/9)

Excited to share our latest preprint on TF isoforms! Excellent tweetorial by @kaia_mattioli This is a large collaboration with the a Vidal, Bulyk, Sahni, and Salomonis labs and many other authors. The project was led by @LukeLambs , Kaia, and @cssantoso_
excited to share the first story from my postdoc today!! we profiled hundreds of transcription factor (TF) isoforms & found that two-thirds of alternative TF isos differ from their cognate reference iso in at least 1 key molecular activity biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

The first “Berenson et al.” is out in Nature Communications! Super proud of this work and thankful to all involved. 👩🏼‍🔬🧬
We are very excited to see our paper published in @NatureComms led by the amazing Anna Berenson (@annaabananabell)! We introduce paired yeast one-hybrid (pY1H) assays to study cooperativity and antagonism between transcription factors (TFs). nature.com/articles/s41467-0… 1/6

It ain’t much, but I used all the color options on my multicolor pen - and that must count for something. I hope you like it @plasmidsaurus!
