Having grown up around ponies, Nadine is no stranger to handling and riding ponies. She also completed the 14-16 Year Old Programme whilst in years 10 and 11 at school, enhancing her knowledge before she started the Foundation Course. In this first episode, Nadine shares how she’s settling into college life, adapting from ponies to racehorses, and what it’s like living away from home for the first time at 16 years old. This Friday, 23rd October, is 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗗𝗮𝘆 for many potential Foundation Course learners 😃 🗣 Although the word 'interview' may sound a little daunting to some, don't worry; our friendly team will be here to greet you and put your mind at ease as soon as you arrive. Those attending will have received either a morning or an afternoon slot. Here's a plan of what you'll do during your Interview Day... 1️⃣ A member of our friendly team will be at the reception desk ready to greet you and take your personal details. 2️⃣ College Tour - Our Student Representatives will give your group a tour of the yards, familiarise you with our facilities, and you can ask questions along the way. 3️⃣ Presentation - Our team will deliver a presentation about the National Horseracing College and discuss opportunities available in the horseracing industry. 4️⃣ One-to-One Interview - This interview will take around 15-20 minutes and it allows our team to get to know you and for you to ask questions. 5️⃣ Racing Simulator Session - Your group will have the chance to watch a racing simulator demonstration by one of our Training Instructors and current learners. Our team will also explain to you the importance of fitness. You will have the chance to test your own riding skills on the simulator. 6️⃣ Your group will have the opportunity to ask current Foundation Course learners questions about the course.
