Talked to @TimFernholz for this. My take: sandbox the agents, zero trust, no exceptions. Not "locked down except for a package repo on the internet." Those are exactly the holes threat actors exploit, and the models are at least as good at finding them.
“There will not be a ChatGPT moment for robotics,” Adrian told TechCrunch. “The thing that made ChatGPT a moment in time was distribution - they went from zero to a million active users in like a week…distribution in the real world is way harder than that, right?
I'm excited for the Apple II moment in robotics or the IBM PC moment in robotics. When can I buy like a home robot that is gonna start doing some useful and fun stuff?”

Enjoyed the conversation @TimFernholz. Consumers, enterprises, government--nearly every player outside of a small number of frontier labs--benefits from a healthy open source ecosystem. We should all be rooting for progress on that front.
"When China figures out how to reuse them, that is going to drop the launch cost for them tremendously, and then they could use it as part of their soft power outreach to launch things for potential allies very cheaply."
