Freelance journo for lots of great places like Ars Technica, MotorTrend, and The Guardian. I dig tech and autos. Fortune once called me the Nicest Guy in Tech.
A few parting shots from the weekend's drive of the 1,050-horsepower @Lamborghini Revuelto SV. And, since there's no embargo, I can tell you what I actually think! #Lamborghini
It's utterly bonkers in the way you want a dialed-up Lambo special edition to be, yet surprisingly manageable. Big upgrades to the brakes, suspension, and aero made me comfortable pushing and sliding through the turns at the twisty and tricky Autodromo Vallelunga outside Rome.
I know lots of folks like to say that EVs are like smartphones, that after a few years their batteries will be dead.
Well, after three years and 30,000 miles, our BMW iX is routinely delivering upwards of 350 miles on a charge. For the record, that's 40+ MORE than the EPA rating
It's not all good news (this thing eats tires like they're going out of style), but we decided to put a ring on this thing after our lease was up. Here's the full story over on @InsideEVsinsideevs.com/reviews/806194…
Oh, does your performance EV have four motors? That's cute. My latest is a five-motor fescue-flaying beast that can turn on a dime and even haul wood.
Yeah, okay, it's a lawn mower, but it's still quite a thing. My review is live over at @vergetheverge.com/transportation/…
I drove the Slate! It's far more charming than its monochrome adequacy would imply, but of course it'll be up to you how much personality you inject here.

In my newsletter this week, in honor of the final week of the Tour de France, I'm dishing up an old adage from bicycle racing that I think about frequently: If you're not moving forward, you're falling behind. For me, it's a good reminder to stay nimble or risk getting dropped.
I thought I'd start dishing up some editorial advice more regularly, something I focused on in the early days of my newsletter but haven't done much of lately. Hopefully this is helpful to some!

owdy from Bavaria, where I'm testing the new @Porsche 911 GT3 S/C. Always wanted a GT3 but can't go anywhere without the wind in your hair? This is your solution, and that's about all I can tell you about it for now.
This year's Pikes Peak Hill Climb was a fascinating battle of means of propulsion.
The biggest story was the ZR1X's new production car record, but some questions remain about whether its replaces or augments the previous record. Details on @arstechnicaarstechnica.com/cars/2026/06…
Are Americans ready for a luxury van? I certainly am.
Latest newsletter is up. As ever, this is the best way to keep up with whatever I'm up to and wherever I'm going.

A few more shots of the 721-horse, hybridized Corvette Grand Sport X. As per usual I can't tell you what I think about it just yet, but here's what it looks like at Red Rocks! #cars
Greetings from Pikes Peak! I'm not only checking out the action at this year's Hill Climb for the first time, which I'm jazzed about, but I'm also spending some quality time behind the wheel of the @chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport X. This should be an excellent few days.
Be careful who you get your automotive hot takes from. This tech was originally developed as a prototype in the US 20+ years ago. Porsche had had it on its production cars for as few years.
You can read a nice piece on the history of the original design over at @thedrivethedrive.com/news/how-the-fa…
The @Porsche implementation is called Active Ride. It's on Panamera, Taycan, and Cayenne.
I really wasn't sure what to expect from my first time behind the wheel of the Rivian R2. I was not, however, expecting it to be such an improvement over the R1S.
Shame about the lease pricing, though...

Trying something new out on my newsletter, Million Miler Reviews. I'm going to dtert evaluating the products I take with me around the globe again and again. First up? My Sony XM6 wireless headphones. They were great... Until they broke. #travelling
