Starting Heathenry is a NEW ritual-focused online course which will furnish you with the knowledge and confidence to practise the Germanic Heathen religion alone or with others, making wise decisions about worship based on reliable historical evidence. The course teaches you how to construct Heathen prayers for yourself, not according to the established rites of any modern group, but according to what historical sources show. Starting Heathenry assumes you are interested in Germanic paganism, know about the gods and myths, and want to begin practising this religion, but require guidance on how to do so. It is based on a micro-learning structure which is proven to improve knowledge retention by 18-80% in students compared to other learning methods. The 10 lessons include over 50 videos, and quizzes to access from your phone or computer. Access more than 5 hours of learning material bit by bit, as you please. A modern method of learning about an ancient religion. Your path to knowing the gods through ritual starts here

The German woman who invented the terms Single Grave Culture and Bog Body - both definitive for the ancestors of the later Germanic peoples, was also fluent in Nordic languages and lectured on Norse mythology. Mythology, archaeology and linguistics are connecting again.

There is no evil that could befall the rulers of this country which they would not deserve
Reminder: just yesterday we learned that: A) a former ISIS guard for a beheading squad came to yookay illegally on a boat, obviously because of the ECHR/HRA he can't be jailed or deported, living freely; B) SAS guys sent on missions to deal with ISIS beheaders were then arrested for MURDER for dealing with them; they were lied to by the military police; they have been told they can never be clear of the charges (because the ECHR/HRA means any time some lawyer like Jolyon or Hermer wants to team up with nutters on a ECHR case, the government will be forced to investigate again and remember Hermer's friend *invented* war crimes to bring cases against British soldiers, but obviously wasn't jailed, triples all round in the Inner Temple). So we're importing the jihadis at scale while prosecuting for murder SAS we rely on to defend us from the jihadis - and if you don't like this you're fascist and it's a reason to ban X in yookay. No you will not see Kemi-kasi campaign on these issues because the Tories agreed with Labour for 25 years that this combination is 'defending civilisation'. The Tories imported many of the jihadis now in the news, and the Tories approved all the worst officials and lawyers in SW1 bringing the lawfare cases, including against those who were given medals by the Queen for stopping IRA terrorist attacks - they now have to beg for cash for lawyers in their 70s/80s. And because Reform is a bin fire which can't maintain focus on anything for 2 minutes -- like Kemi-kasi -- you probably won't see anything sustained from them either.

Also the Old English word Wicing was used as a way to describe Scandinavian pirates. It was a noun.
‘Viking is actually a verb’ has to be one of the funniest misconceptions in medieval linguistics (mostly because it’s usually issued condescendingly as a ‘correction’). Do these people also think ‘earthling’ is a verb? What about ‘gelding’? ‘shilling’? The town name ‘Reading’?

I watched one of these duels. They are pretty brutal 🤺
Two politicians from rival factions of right-wing party Alternative for Germany agreed to fight a traditional "academic fencing" duel after a clash at a heated nomination meeting.

As Rome became decadent and multicultural, the native religion was replaced by foreign cults, and the army was increasingly supplemented by foreign mercenaries. Eventually the Roman army was more Germanic/Gaulish than Roman because Romans didn’t want to fight for Rome anymore. Then Rome fell.
If you're going to attempt to persuade citizens to fight for their nation, you must first ensure that you have established among them a shared national story and the highest levels of social solidarity, trust and cohesion. If you've spent several decades eroding those things, you'll find you're left with a citizenry which feels it has little to fight for. That's basically the difference between Britain in the 20th and 21st centuries.

This is how pagan women dressed.
Replying to @Sagnamadr
The brooches would’ve been worn like such: the matching pair used to fasten the overdress at the shoulders, the smaller ones to gather up the fabric at the front and neck.

People should just stop trying to fudge "deals" and using the law for purposes it was never written for. Do you want to dispose of cultural heritage for political gain? Well, let's have the discussion in the national parliaments. Deal that may set precedent for Elgin Marbles return challenged (gift access link) telegraph.co.uk/gift/d4acdc2…

So I would need to pay a bunch of left wing extremists and thieves (BBC stole survive the jive footage in 2013) in order to watch the videos that I actually made with my own money? Outrageous.
BBC licence fee to be extended to YouTube, Netflix & Amazon. This is completely unacceptable. Those of us who have decided not to watch terrestrial TV should not be forced to pay for and prop up an outdated system. Let the BBC sink or swim on its own. independent.co.uk/news/uk/po…

NEW EPISODE — Radio North Sea International — E27: The Ancestor of Celto-Germanics The insular Bell Beaker culture and the Nordic Bronze Age people are likely to share common roots in a regional variant of the Corded Ware culture in what later became the homelands of the Saxons.
