Recruiting is NOT: Good player = automatic offers. There are position needs, roster numbers, grades, measurables, scheme fit, relationships and timing involved. Talent is only part of the equation.

This is what building The Reamon Report Film Room looks like: watching tape, evaluating talent, and creating better resources for players and families. We’re just getting started! 🎞️

Class of 2028 football recruits: Your sophomore film is important, but don’t confuse social media attention with actual college interest. Views, likes, and reposts don’t determine your recruiting value. College coaches have their own evaluation process.

That’s the gap we’re trying to address at the @ReamonReport . Through Every Player Has a Path and Get On The Board, we’re helping families understand where a player may fit, what steps to take, and how to navigate the recruiting process. They deserve a clear plan, not guesswork.

Agree with this across all hs sports. The question is how does a hs junior or senior figure that out? Most hs athletes do not have any idea where they might fit in.

I understand the skepticism. My résumé includes coaching at UVA, Miami, CNU and Virginia Tech; NFL work with the Saints, Steelers and Bills; and leading scouting at Norfolk State. Not to mention playing D1 and learning from a HOF father. If an evaluator doesn’t have a background, tell them show a documented record of creating exposure and earning offers. What have they done? I can do both.

Everyone wants $ for evaluations and all of them say they are the best. It seems such a money grab.

Seniors: finish strong, update your film and grades, and have honest conversations with your support system about your options. Juniors: keep building complete film and stay in touch with coaches. Start to ID camps in the spring that are a good fit. Sophomores: develop, handle your academics, and learn the process. Don’t let offer posts rush your timeline. Camp hard in the spring. The work after November looks different for every class.

so, season ends in November. As a Sr you should do what?, as a Jr you should do what?, as a Sophomore you should do what?

I wish more basketball players played football.. that frame x athleticism, of course you need heart and toughness. Perspective: High school boy’s odds are roughly 1 in 900 of being drafted in football, compared with about 1 in 2,800 of being drafted into the NBA. So the NFL route is roughly three times more likely, but both outcomes are rare.

QBs, when I’m evaluating you, there’s more to it than just the stat line. I see a lot of film where WRs are running WIDE OPEN. Yes, you completed the pass. I would hope so. But I’m also evaluating the THROW. Ball placement, timing, anticipation, touch, and accuracy. A completion doesn’t automatically mean it was a good throw.

If your high school football season ends in November and your first thought is to attend 15 camps next summer, you’re already skipping steps. Before spending money on exposure, figure out what level of college football you can realistically play.

At this point in the season, college coaches have plenty of highlight tapes to watch. What separates one prospect from another when the talent looks similar? That’s a conversation more families need to understand.

Some people feel a way he had a press conference just to announce he is staying at Oklahoma State.. In today’s day and age, doesn’t bother me. We are living in the self promotion era.
College football fans, this is a safe space. What’s your honest opinion on this Jesse LeGree announcement?

I followed @tommyreamon when my son Ty was going through recruitment. He has made himself available to kids and parents, answering recruitment questions and giving guidance, and never asked for a thing in return. Knows his stuff and genuinely cares. I know Ty valued the information he shared with him. Any family would be lucky to work with him. @TylerSchuler15
I am so excited! 🔥🔥🔥

Coach, specialists are a little different. A lot of programs don’t prioritize those spots until they’ve evaluated their current roster, scholarship situation, and portal needs. December through January is an important window, but I wouldn’t wait around. Get the film and academic information in front of coaches now. Also are we talking JUCO?
Replying to @tommyreamon
I have a question….when do specialists start to get picked up when they are mid year transfers?
