BYU's womens XC team is scary. Sheesh.

Watching the Jane H smoke a 4:55 mile interval (5 x mile workout) with about 4-5 BYU girls rolling right behind her at 5:02-5:07 in INSANE! Like....what?!!!!

I love that people are asking track and field questions to Scout on the website. Scout is also doing a really great job of referring users to the right resources. Free 24/7 help for coaches and athletes with concerns...this makes my heart smile.

I keep seeing this post all over my timeline. First of all...43 marathons is amazing. I'm a bit confused though. Only 2 NYC marathons were cancelled during that timespan (2012, 2020). Shouldn't it be 45? Just wondering.
Marty has run the New York City Marathon every year since 1980 and finished his 43rd tonight as the last man across the line. He said it would be his final one his mind is still willing, but his body isn’t. A remarkable way to end the streak. Congratulations on 43 NYC Marathons, Marty. ❤️
Community note
The runner’s name is James Thomas, not Marty. The person who filmed and spoke with him (@MickmickNYC) confirmed this. He is not the 90-year-old Marty Granoff (who ran his 6th NYC Marathon in 2026, last previously in 1983). Source: x.com/MickmickNYC/st…

Phase 0 at 57% complete. Massive movement in the past week for year 1 of 4. So much more ahead but really excited about the short-term wins.

The goal cost what it cost. Either pay the price or stop pretending you really want it.

Proud of these two kids for very different reasons. One became the leader of the team, often starting warmups before I could get down to the track. He did everything I asked of him with no complaints. The other overcame multiple challenges, including often having to train at home in his own due to constraints. He stayed dedicated to his commitment to stop smoking and PR’d by almost 9 minutes in his race today…. While wearing basketball shoes nonetheless. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤣. Don’t ask. They both grew up this year. That matters to me more than any trophy or state qualification.

How it feels going from coaching football on a Friday night then turning around to coach a XC meet Saturday morning. “I’m all hopped up on Mountain Dewwwww” “I never did change my pee pants” 🤣
