Want to have your mind blown? In 1971, the median household income was $9,030, or 220 ounces of gold. In 2025, it was $87,460, or just 25 ounces of gold. Your paycheck went up 10x. Measured in gold, it fell 88%. To earn what the median household earned in 1971, you’d need about $890,000 per year today. That’s what fiat debasement looks like.

🇨🇦 CANADIANS, PAY ATTENTION. YOUR MONEY COULD BE NEXT. Canada’s financial system is becoming increasingly digital, and our banks are working together to modernize how money moves. But here’s the question nobody should be afraid to ask: What happens when our money becomes programmable? Imagine a future where your money isn’t just something you earn, save, and spend — but something that could potentially come with conditions. 💰 Your money could have spending restrictions. 💰 Certain purchases could be blocked. 💰 Transactions could be monitored more closely. 💰 Access to your funds could depend on rules you never agreed to. These are potential capabilities of programmable money, not restrictions that Canadian banks have announced they are implementing. And that’s precisely why we need this conversation BEFORE the technology becomes entrenched. We’ve already watched how quickly financial access can become a political weapon. Canadians should never forget the freezing of bank accounts during the Freedom Convoy protests. Now imagine a financial system where restrictions could be built directly into the money itself. The issue isn’t digital banking. It’s CONTROL. Technology should make our lives easier, not give governments, banks, or corporations unprecedented power over how we use our own money. I’m all for innovation. But innovation without financial freedom is not progress. My money. My choices. My freedom. Canadians deserve transparency, strong privacy protections, and guarantees that programmable financial controls will never be imposed without democratic accountability. 🇨🇦 Because the moment someone else decides how you can spend your own money, is it really yours anymore? #Canada #FinancialFreedom #ProgrammableMoney #DigitalCurrency #Privacy #Banking #Freedom

🚨 WALL STREET'S BIGGEST HEDGE FUNDS ARE POSITIONING FOR A MASSIVE STOCK MARKET CRASH. Goldman Sachs data shows Wall Street's biggest funds are aggressively betting against stocks as fears of a much deeper market crash grow. The numbers show just how bearish these funds have become. • Short selling has outpaced long buying by nearly 5 to 1 this month. • Short leverage has reached the 99th percentile of the past five years. • Global hedge funds lost 2.9% in one week, while Asia-focused funds plunged 6.8% in the first half of October. After weeks of heavy selling, hedge funds are still increasing their bets against the market. With so much money positioned for further declines, even a sudden rebound could trigger a brutal short squeeze and leave major funds facing heavy losses. But why are some of Wall Street's biggest funds betting so heavily against stocks? Are they expecting something much worse that the rest of the market hasn't priced in yet?

🚨 BREAKING: NOW JAVA IS FACING A CRITICAL SECURITY EMERGENCY. Oracle has issued an OUT-OF-BAND security alert for a dangerous 9.1/10 vulnerability affecting Java and GraalVM. And the most alarming part? Hackers could exploit vulnerable applications REMOTELY, without a password or ANY user interaction. Here's what's happening: → CRITICAL 9.1/10 FLAW: CVE-2026-91403 affects Java's JSSE security component. → NO LOGIN REQUIRED: Attackers could potentially exploit vulnerable applications remotely without authentication. → SENSITIVE DATA AT RISK: Successful attacks could expose, modify, or delete critical application data. → MULTIPLE JAVA VERSIONS AFFECTED: Oracle lists affected releases across Java 8, 11, 17, 21, 25, and 27. → GRAALVM ALSO AFFECTED: Oracle confirms the vulnerability impacts multiple GraalVM releases. → EMERGENCY PATCH ALERT: Oracle released an urgent security update rather than waiting for its next scheduled patch cycle. The list of critical vulnerabilities just keeps growing. If you operate Java applications or servers, CHECK YOUR SECURITY UPDATES NOW.
Community note
CVE-2026-91403 is a JSSE certificate trust issue with eight compromised eMudhra intermediates having weak keys, enabling potential MITM on TLS if attacker intercepts traffic—not a direct remote exploit of Java apps or servers. oracle.com/security-alert… openjdk.org/groups/vulnera… bnowakowski.pl/psa-java-cve-2…

Fuel emergencies have been declared now in 7 U.S. states. And at the federal level, including Trump's EO and EPA emergency waivers. More details to come... If Trump attacks Iran again, this is going to get catastrophically worse for YEARS to come.

🚨 A MASSIVE WAVE OF CYBERATTACKS IS HITTING THE INTERNET. October 2026 has seen a shocking number of major cyberattacks, data breaches and serious security flaws. And some of the biggest names in technology, banking and internet services are involved. Here's what's been reported in just one month: • PHP2Shell: Critical flaws in software used by nearly 70% of websites. • eMudhra: Eight digital certificate keys compromised. One private key was literally the number 4. • California: Sensitive public school student data stolen, including disability records. • Railway: Customer API keys and database credentials potentially exposed. • Zeabur: Major breach followed by an announcement that the company is shutting down. • LiteLLM: Hackers planted password-stealing malware in a widely used AI tool. • GitLab: A critical 10/10 security flaw affecting software versions dating back to 2014. • SBI: Nearly 3,900 customer records exposed. • Onamae: Up to 26,739 customer servers potentially affected by malware. And these are only some of the incidents reported in October. Several involve software used by thousands of businesses, meaning a single security failure could put many more companies at risk. Some businesses may not even know their systems have been exposed, leaving customer data and important services vulnerable to further attacks.

GOLD IS DEAD 💀 A startup just announced it’s found a way to manufacture gold at scale. All they need is 735 gigawatt-scale fusion power plants and 6.1x the world’s estimated mercury-198 resources, to produce 1 year of normal Gold mining supply. It’s so over.

BREAKING: Russian oil giant Rosneft is now deliberately slowing down oil refinery repairs at most of its plants, stretching work that should take days into months, after repeated Ukrainian strikes made the cycle of damage and reconstruction too expensive to sustain, per Bloomberg. Refineries restarted within weeks of an attack were struck again as repairs neared completion. Rosneft officials have privately warned the costs cannot be sustained long-term, and that a few more months of the war could leave catastrophic and lasting damage across the business. Zelensky ended Ukraine's pause on refinery strikes last week. "The block on attacking refineries is out. We're done."

🚨 BREAKING: LINUX IS NOW FACING TWO CRITICAL SECURITY VULNERABILITIES, AND THERE ARE NO OFFICIAL KERNEL FIXES YET. Both rated 9.0/10 in severity. One could allow hackers to take control of vulnerable servers WITHOUT EVEN LOGGING IN. And the most alarming part? The flaws were made PUBLIC before patches were ready. Here's what's happening: → TWO CRITICAL RCE FLAWS: Both affect KSMBD, Linux's built-in SMB file server. → NO PASSWORD REQUIRED: One vulnerability could allow unauthenticated attackers to execute malicious code on vulnerable servers. → KERNEL-LEVEL ACCESS: Successful exploitation could potentially give attackers control within the Linux kernel itself. → NO MAINLINE PATCH YET: Both vulnerabilities were publicly disclosed before official kernel fixes were available. → DISCOVERED BY AI: Trend Micro's AI-powered security scanner identified the flaws. → SERVERS AT RISK: Linux systems running the vulnerable KSMBD service need immediate attention, especially if port 445 is exposed. First PHP. Then Node.js. Then GitLab. Then Python. NOW LINUX. And this time, the vulnerabilities are PUBLIC before the fixes are ready. If you manage Linux servers, CHECK YOUR EXPOSURE NOW.
🚨 BREAKING: IT JUST KEEPS GETTING WORSE. NOW PYTHON IS FACING A MASSIVE SECURITY EMERGENCY. Python's security team has issued an URGENT warning after a certificate authority compromise put Python's HTTPS security at risk. → 8 CERTIFICATE AUTHORITY KEYS COMPROMISED. Some were so weak they could be cracked almost INSTANTLY. → FAKE TRUSTED WEBSITES: Attackers could potentially impersonate Python.org, PyPI and other websites during intercepted connections. → MALICIOUS DOWNLOADS: Vulnerable environments could be tricked into downloading software from attacker-controlled servers. → YOUR OS PATCH MAY NOT PROTECT YOU: Older versions of pip can STILL trust compromised certificates even after system updates. → EMERGENCY UPDATES: Python developers are being told to immediately update pip, certifi, uv and other affected tools. → DOCKER USERS AT RISK: Existing container images may retain vulnerable certificate stores and need rebuilding. First PHP. Then Node.js. Then GitLab. Then LiteLLM. NOW PYTHON. The very systems developers rely on to establish TRUST online are becoming the attack surface. If you use Python, PATCH NOW.
Community note
The Python certifi/pip details match the real eMudhra CA incident, but PHP, GitLab and LiteLLM involved unrelated software bugs, platform flaws and supply chain malware—not CA key compromises like this (Node.js patched concurrently for the same CA issue). discuss.python.org/t/information-… emudhra.we-have-a-problem.com github.com/advisories/GHS… docs.litellm.ai/blog/security-… snyk.io/blog/php-patch…
Community note
KSMBD is a rarely used optional in-kernel SMB server distinct from the common Samba implementation; it is not enabled or shipped by default on major distributions like RHEL, and the flaws affect only systems explicitly running it with port 445 exposed. thehackernews.com/2026/10/two-cv… threatlandscape.io/blog/ksmbd-zdi…
