With all of the speculation that TES VI will take place in Sentinel it is a good time to bring up this quote from an old interview with OXM. Todd Howard stated he would love to see Daggerfall or Sentinel redone in a modern engine.

Assuming next month will really have the announcement of TESVI: Sentinel, it is possibly 11/11 to coincide with the fifteenth anniversary of Skyrim. Perhaps it'll be a teaser with a full reveal set for VGA. If not then, the date I'd suspect the most is the last weekend of that month.

They have wanted to get titles under the Bethesda umbrella out within a year following a major announcement, so yes 2027 is possible.

According to The Verge, an official announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI will happen very soon, even as early as next month. It will be called "The Elder Scrolls VI: Sentinel", and will take place in the province of Hammerfell. The game's story will focus on the Elder Scrolls artifacts themselves, and uncovering the secrets of the Scrolls.

I do appreciate how many people picked up on this being a subtle sign pointing to the many conflicts between the Bosmer and Khajiit. It's very possible that a wood elf saw a Khajiit family ritualistically destroying a tree and they have been fighting ever since.
