Hutto, Texas City Council has directed staff to compare costs for a three-vehicle test of
@Tesla Cybertrucks for the Hutto Police Department, after Council member Jerrel Reynolds bought one in April and found its fuel and maintenance costs to be low.
The Las Vegas Police Department has 10 Cybertrucks in its fleet (pictured below), Reynolds said, and he suggested the city reach out to that department for more information.
“I think this is the future," Mayor Mike Snyder said.
Each Police Cybertruck is expected to save the Las Vegas PD $9,500 a year in fuel and maintenance costs alone. It's the #1 most American-made police truck.
