I have been needing to get this post out to explain what happened at our event Nocturn Carnival, but Ive been dealing with catching sick since the last day of con and been trying to recover to get back to work, and it has delayed me getting this out.
I want to address and apologize to everyone for what happened at our event. Numerous staffing and technical issues caused us to have to delay the start to our event, as well as cause multiple problems with what should have been a very smooth process of playing the videos on the screen for the performers. To add to that, the venue had a very unique and custom screen installed for the World Cup that had been left behind, which required a professional experienced with it to function.
All of these issues ended up leading to us not being able to start the event until over an hour late, and by the end of the night we had a small number of performers that were unable to be put on stage due to this. We also had some performers that had been announced, but due to one reason or another were unable to perform and the issues happening so close to event that we failed to properly announce there members before the party happened.
Lastly, issues that could not be resolved by the production staff we were offered to help alleviate said issues caused almost every performance to be delayed due to videos crashing and files not loading. This further delayed our night to the point that we went well beyond our closing time.
I'm very sorry and very angry with myself with this fact, because our organization was created by VTubers, for VTubers, to host parties, meetups and events in an effort to offer opportunities for fans and talents, and we completely messed up on that. I failed at our mission statement, and im deeply sorry for everyone that put trust in me, and my organization, to deliver these performances to their fans.
I have already talked to some people and plan on bringing on some new staff members to help us in the areas that we are weakest in and promote those that have been there for us to positions to let them thrive in ways that will help me organize better. We plan on making sure that everything having to do with the production side of things works perfect far in advance of the venue to avoid any possible complications.
We also plan on reaching out to every single member of our event that we had failed to give an opportunity to perform personally and do our best to ask for forgiveness and come up with the best way we can make things right and make things whole for all of them. I hope that both the performers we had failed, and their communities that we failed, are willing to give us a second chance to make this right for them all.
I especially want to reach out to and apologize publicly to
@HeirsMGMT for not being able to get all of them live on stage after numerous scheduling issues and the event delays, to
@zephyrianna,
@HiiragiYuu_Vt,
@UtanoPandora and
@AQUAV3RS for not being able to fit their recorded performances in at the very end when already over half an hour past closing. I also wanted to wish the best to
@MythosHQ who had multiple members that had to drop out last minute from performing due to numerous emergencies or file issues, and I'm glad we at least were able to have
@DionysusMythos perform live on stage.
I also wanted to apologize to all of those that were able to perform, because the issues still caused delays that changed your entire night and schedule. I need to make sure in the future I do not let things get too packed that issues cannot be resolved properly without ruining the performances as a whole.
I strive my best to be as honest and truthful as I can be in my interactions with others, and to be as humble and kind to others when possible. I messed this up, and I wanted to ask for forgiveness from the community and our fans and performers as a whole. VTCC wants to please ask you to give us another chance next year at next OffKai to do better, and to show you all that we care first and foremost for our fans, our attendees, and our performers most of all.
