Most privacy tools still force you to leave the chain you are already using. Nightmode and @Sig_Network take a different path. A Midnight contract can control an ordinary account on Ethereum. Sig Network holds the key to that account through a group of independent signers. No single person can move the funds alone. The network only signs what the Midnight contract itself requests. The assets never leave Ethereum. Nothing is wrapped or bridged. Your balances and identity stay shielded on Midnight. When the contract needs to act, the transaction settles on Ethereum at the real price against existing liquidity. Uniswap swaps, Aave deposits and ordinary transfers all work this way. The result is simple. An app can stay where its users and liquidity already are. The private parts, who owns what and what should stay hidden, live on Midnight. Selective disclosure is still available when an auditor or counterparty needs to see specific data. This is privacy added as a layer instead of a migration. The money stays on the chain that already has the market. The records that should not be public move to Midnight. Sig Network is the piece that connects the two without handing any one party the keys.

💰RealFi is trying to make stablecoins earn from real world credit!💰 On Cardano the protocol runs a two token setup. USDrf is the liquid dollar token backed by a mix of loans, private credit, treasuries and money market instruments. Stake it and you get sUSDrf, which receives a share of the income that portfolio generates. The latest epoch snapshot shows 12.13% APY. That number moves with the underlying assets. It is not fixed and it is not risk free. The interesting part is the destination. #Cardano already has growing stablecoin liquidity. @realfi_co gives those dollars a place to go that is outside pure crypto trading. The returns come from actual lending and credit markets rather than token emissions. Retail users can swap in through partner DEXes and stake. Institutions have different redemption rights. Losses hit protocol reserves first, then the staked layer. This is one of the clearer attempts so far to connect Cardano’s on chain assets to off chain economic activity. The yield is variable. The capital is at risk. But the basic idea is simple: a dollar on Cardano can do more than just wait.

Midnight Network just crossed one million transactions on mainnet. That number landed roughly a month after anyone could deploy a smart contract without asking permission first. Daily volume moved from the low hundreds into the tens of thousands. The network is now running real traffic! At the same time, @MidnightNtwrk opened a path for Ethereum apps. An application can keep its assets and liquidity exactly where they already sit on Ethereum. The private parts, balances, identities and selective disclosure checks, move to Midnight. Nothing is wrapped. Nothing is bridged. The original chain stays in charge of the money. Midnight only handles the part that should not be public. This is the combination that is actually shipping. #Cardano supplies the base security and staking. Midnight supplies programmable privacy that other chains can call instead of forcing users to migrate. One million transactions is early, but it is the first clear sign that both pieces are being used together in production. The next test is whether more builders treat privacy as a feature they can add, not a chain they have to switch to. Midnight is already set up for that.

Most blockchains are still running on signature schemes that a powerful enough quantum computer could eventually break. #Cardano just opened a formal proposal that would let smart contracts verify a new generation of signatures designed to resist that. The idea is simple: a contract can demand a stronger type of proof before it releases funds or grants access, without waiting for every wallet in the world to switch first. @MidnightNtwrk fits on top of that cleanly. Its privacy layer already lets a contract confirm that a balance, identity or compliance check is valid without showing the raw data. Once Cardano contracts can check the newer signatures, those private proofs can be authorized by keys that stay hard to forge even after classical cryptography weakens. The spending rules get an upgrade. The privacy rules stay in place. The recent exchange breach showed how quickly a single set of ordinary keys can move billions. The longer term risk is different. It is keys that still work after the math underneath them stops being difficult. Cardano is starting to put the tools for that inside the same scripts that control money and data. Midnight supplies the privacy constraints those scripts can enforce. It is still a proposal (CIP0206) and not live yet. But it is the first practical step toward contracts that can protect both the authorization and the confidentiality of what they guard. That combination is what most other chains have not begun building.

Follow up to my previous Binance post. A few people asked whether the multisig + timelock + selective disclosure setup described for $ADA and $NIGHT was something Binance actually ran, or just something the tech makes possible. Public incident reports haven’t detailed Binance’s exact custody configuration for those two assets, so that specific arrangement remains a capability based explanation rather than a confirmed fact about their wallets. What is confirmed is that the bulk of the ~$6.3B left via ordinary hot wallet paths on other chains, while ADA and NIGHT were not among the assets highlighted as drained. The interesting part is how little additional machinery is required on Cardano & Midnight to raise the bar that high: •A native multisig script (eUTxO) can require a second, air gapped key that never touches the hot wallet signing service. •A short timelock or challenge window gives an operations team time to freeze or rotate signers once an anomaly is spotted. •Midnight’s selective disclosure means an attacker who only has the compromised key still cannot construct a valid spend without generating the right zk proofs for the exact amounts and destinations. None of those features are exotic on these networks, they are standard building blocks. The difference is that they live onchain instead of solely inside the exchange’s internal approval system. When the internal system is the thing that gets compromised, the onchain conditions remain. Whether any given exchange chooses to use them is a product decision. The point of the original post was simply that the option exists and is practical. After this week, more teams may decide it’s worth the extra operational step.

Hey #Cardano ! I would like to share a project that we are working on with my team for the last couple of months. It’s a fun onboarding tool for our ecosystem, with optional login for a Cardano wallet and future implementation for #MidnightPassport when it is live. It is essentially a videogame, namely a real time PvP artillery game. Two players, trying to hit each other. Sounds simple, but it is addictive, competitive and unexpectedly fun! There are a few modes: - 1v1 for two players, locally on the same pc (keyboard & gamepad) - Host/Join rooms for playing against your friend. And… (drum roll) - 5 day tournaments, aligned with the Cardano epochs. 2ADA entry fee, winner takes it all (-0.5 ADA for server cost). A player logs in with their wallet through the website (top right corner), links his game with an 8 digit code and chooses Hosky or Snek Team for the entire epoch. After that, at PLAY/RANKED, the system pairs the competing players and two rankings are formed: individual ranking and team ranking. Glicko-2 ranking system is used for personal ranking. We have tested the game thoroughly and any major bugs are already identified and fixed. So I definitely suggest you try it yourselves. We have long term plans on how to proceed with the project but any feedback or ideas will be much appreciated, since our roadmap is somewhat flexible. For example, now that we saw that Nike and Crawju were officially introduced in the @MidnightCitySim , we are thinking of adding these two characters in the game (or our next one).
