I dropped my ballot at the drop box today. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years and for the first time ever I saw a sketchy panhandler at my ballot box. I’m done. Voted straight up red. Cancel me if you want but your blue votes are only making things worse.

When the former Democratic Governor calls her own party out for its out-of-control spending and non-stop tax increases you know things have gotten out of control. Vote YES on I-645 to keep Washington a no income tax state (as it always has been).

Imagine you had a 9-5 job and spent within your means yet someone told you "you're cutting your spending back way more than you need to because of the 7pm to midnight job you should also be working." That's the logic WA Democrats are using to justify their income tax.

American hero.
🚨 NEW: Kaylub Giamanco, the HERO father who TOOK OUT the Bend, Oregon elementary school shooter last week, tells the story for the first time "I started hearing children PLEADING for their lives. And then I started hearing gunfire and I just started army crawling faster and faster. And I told myself, this is probably the last thing that I'm ever going to do." "I have to go in. People are going to die." "I crawled through the bottom window that was shot out and continued onto the rug inside where there's a little breezeway with stairs." "And then the special needs classroom was to my left. At that point, I was on the ground on my hands and knees. I re-racked my weapon to make sure that a live round came so that I knew that I was ready to go." "And then I peeked through the window. And at this point I found my opportunity. And I'd seen a teacher on the left struggling with the gunman on the right with the rifle." "And I knew that they were on both sides of me, and I knew that he did not know that I was there. And so at that point I swung the door out and open and I stepped in and I fired." This man deserves the Presidential Medal of FREEDOM! 🇺🇸

These are the blatant lies being spread by the unions feeding off your tax payer dollars. They say repealing the unconstitutional WA income tax would remove 13billion from the state budget. LIE. No revenue has or will be collected until 2029!

Komo (Seattle Times took a pass on this story) covers the impact the unconstitutional income tax will have on philanthropy. A couple of observations: -The impact is real and the CEO of Seattle Children’s brings the receipts -The Seattle Times refusal to carry the op-ed is shameful -We should all be talking about this because ST broke the story looking out for the public not because the CEO had to get around them to get the story out -Bob Ferguson is clearly caught flat footed by the question and gives a “squirrel!!!” Answer -Jamie Pedersen is baking more pie-crusts.. oh don’t worry we will fix it -The unconstitutional income tax was written with so much haste and with no real input or concern for the negative impacts that we will continue to find sulphur filled easter eggs as we watch businesses shut down or flee the state Vote Yes I-645 To Repeal the unconstitutional Income Tax

Olympia claims the new 9.9% "millionaire’s tax" only hits the rich. Then why did lawmakers explicitly write it to cover retirement pensions, reject every amendment to lock in the $1M threshold, and already float dropping it to $250k? 5 reasons it’s coming for you—and how I-645 stops it 👇

this California wealth tax thing is just incredible. so in October 2025, a California healthcare union proposed a "one time" 5% tax on any billionaire's wealth. the ballot measure will be voted on next month. In early December 2025, California announced that it would be a retroactive tax if passed, applying to anyone with CA residency as of Jan 1, 2026. The objective is to pay for Medi-Cal, California's incredibly dysfunctional healthcare system. (which also functions as a glorified welfare apparatus, but that's a discussion for another time). polls reveal that the CA electorate is split around 50/50 on the tax, but prediction markets only give Prop 40 a ~23% chance of passing (there are competing measures on the ballet that would nullify it). there are 200 billionaires in CA, worth collectively somewhere between $2.3 and $2.6 trillion. 5% of that is around $100b, accounting for a small amount of attrition. proponents of the tax forecasted a significant windfall, assuming only a 10% departure rate. supporters thought they were being clever with the retroactive concept. no billionares would leave CA in the few short months between the tax being proposed and the residency cutoff date, without the tax even having passed yet, right? well as it turns out, they did. a new paper [1] from two academics at Stanford called "The Net Present Value of the California Billionaire Tax Act", argues that not only did more billionaires leave due to the proposed tax than its proponents expected, but that the value of the tax, if it does pass, is actually negative. proponents of the tax only assumed 10% avoidance, that is, only 10% of the taxable base of targeted billionaires would leave CA within the very short Oct-Dec 2025 window. Jaros and Rauh, the Stanford academics, find that a lower bound of 28.6% of the taxable base managed to leave. just based on known departures, those departures total $577b in net worth, or $28.8b in potential tax lost. this of course does not capture everyone (many left without announcing their departure), so the authors normalize to departure rates estimated from other wealth tax events, and apply other discounts for litigation, arriving arrive at a figure of only $28-$36b in forecasted tax revenues. but this isn't all! all of the income taxes paid by the departed billionaires are also forsaken. the authors estimate that CA billionaires pay $3.3- 5.8b in annual income taxes. they assume a midpoint of $2b lost in annual collections from departed billionaires. the net present value of that lost income stream is -$68.9 billion. so when you add it all up you get: + $30b one-time tax windfall (estimated) - $69b in present value of lost future income taxes = - 38.9b overall net present value of the tax of course, this analysis is highly estimate driven. the authors simulate the parameters 100k times and find a negative NPV of the implemented tax 85 percent of the time. and if the tax doesn't pass, which it's not looking like it will, California still ended up losing at least $577b in departed net worth, and they have permanently poisoned the well with entrepreneurs who will now worry about future wealth taxes. For the first time in a long time, I'm red in every race on my ballot. The incompetence, the grift, and the sick social experiment in WA has to end.
Inslee and the Democrats gave the State of Washington Covid money, that was about $340 million, to support undocumented immigrants, many from Somalia, who have gone on to perpetrate bankrupting fraud on WA pretending daycare, adult care and hospice care. Democrats will not clean this up, they will use election $$fraud$$ to keep it going. Vote Republican this time.

Washington Democrats always intended their "millionaire's tax" to be the opening in the door for a full income tax in our state that will apply to everyone. Just listen to their own words. This November, vote YES on i-645 to repeal the unconstitutional income tax.

Amazing. The enrollment in Seattle Public Schools is the same as it was in 2014, but there are an extra 1000 full-time employees on the payroll, and the budget has doubled. All while test scores have declined considerably.
Replying to @stevesi
this all from SPD. wish i could find the part time employees that I suspect grew even more, but notice expenditures soared, even if adjust for inflation

"Seattle's tax collections more than tripled from $900 million in 2013 to $2.8 billion in 2026, outpacing population growth by over five times." Yet is there anyone who believes that a single service got better in Seattle? Did school outcomes improve? Did crime go down?
The report found that Seattle taxes grew 172% between 2013 and 2025, compared with 31% population growth and 23% employment growth. fox13seattle.com/news/seattl…

WA Democrats are already talking about lowering the threshold on who pays the Ferguson-Pedersen state income tax. Now they're saying it'll apply to household income over $250K. Soon it'll be $1. Vote YES to REPEAL the Ferguson-Pedersen state income tax scheme. Excerpt: "The insatiable spending in Olympia is going to cause Democrats, the current Governor and his supporters to race to the bottom on opening up this income tax to everybody," Walsh told KOMO News. "We are increasing state government spending in Olympia faster than the general economy of the state is growing, that’s why you get these chronic budget crises and hair-on-fire urgent need for more tax.” komonews.com/news/local/poll…
