🙏💛 A Special Prayer Request for Kyra — Tomorrow at 7:30 AM Mountain Time 💛🙏
Many of you know that my niece, Kyra, was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was just 5 years old. Today, she is 23 and has been cancer-free for many years. She has fought battles that no child should ever have to face, and she continues to amaze us with her strength and resilience.
2026 has been an incredibly challenging year for Kyra and her family. Since April, she has undergone several surgeries and spent far too much time in the hospital.
Tomorrow morning, Tuesday, October 27, at 7:30 AM Mountain Time, Kyra will undergo a brain biopsy to help determine whether her cancer has returned, spread, and/or if there is new tumor growth.
As you can imagine, this is an emotional and frightening time for her family. We are praying with everything we have that this is NOT cancer.❤️
My brother and sister-in-law have a very special prayer request, and I'm hoping you'll help them honor it.
They aren't just asking you to pray for Kyra. They're asking you to come together with one or two other people and pray WITH them.
Matthew 18:20 (KJV) reminds us:
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
Tomorrow morning, if you're able, please gather with your spouse, your children, a friend, a coworker, your church family, or anyone willing to join you in prayer.
Pray together. Pray for healing. Pray for answers. Pray that this biopsy reveals NO new cancer or tumor growth. And pray for whatever else God places on your heart.
It doesn't matter whether you're in the same room or praying together over the phone, or any other way you choose as a group. What matters is that we come together, united in faith and love, lifting Kyra up.
My hope is that tomorrow morning, at 7:30 AM Mountain Time, there will be little groups of people all across the country, perhaps even around the world, praying for this beautiful young woman who has already endured so much.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for loving Kyra, praying for her, and walking alongside her family.
If you'll be gathering with someone to pray for Kyra tomorrow, please leave a ❤️ or 🙏 in the comments. I'd love for Eric, Candi, and Kyra to see just how many people are surrounding them in prayer.
Where two or three are gathered. ❤️🙏
