Texas Secretary of State Robert Howden announced today that more than 4.2 million Texans cast ballots during the first six days of early voting for the Nov. 3 Election, representing approximately 22% of the state's 19 million registered voters. Learn more here: bit.ly/4yMMhzY More than 30 counties are pending reporting for Oct. 24. In order to help Texans understand these numbers we will begin sharing which counties have not yet reported or attempted to report for the previous day. For questions about specific county numbers, consult the county elections office.

You may have heard that a ballot marked with initials or other writing may disqualify your ballot, but that is a misconception. In fact, the presiding election judge for a polling place or the early voting clerk must sign or initial the ballots in Texas. Don't let misinformation confuse you.
