ICYMI: Last week, we marked #ImagineADayWithoutWater (Oct. 15) by sharing an important reminder: Be prepared. Make water💧part of your emergency kit. We joined state and county officials to urge residents to prepare for a water service interruption by storing water at home. Store at least one gallon of water per person, per day for a minimum of three days. And don’t forget your pets! Water main breaks, power outages and unexpected events can disrupt water service. Don't wait for an emergency. Prepare today so your household has the water it needs when it matters most. Learn more: wsscwater.com/prepare

On #ImagineADayWithoutWater, Maryland Secretary of the Environment (@MDEnvironment) Serena McIlwain shared a special message of appreciation for those who work tirelessly to protect public health and ensure our communities have water when they need it.

"For Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, water is essential. It is critical to firefighting, emergency response, public health, and the overall safety of the communities we serve, we may not be able to prevent every man-made and natural disruption, but we can prepare for them. By working together—our emergency responders, water utility, community partners, and residents—we can better protect our community when it matters most." - Montgomery County Fire (@mcfrs) Chief Corey Smedley #ImagineADayWithoutWater #BePrepared
