We teach our campers how to honor the flag before we start summer basketball camp. We bring in military hero's to talk to our players about what the flag means to them and how they are willing to fight for our freedoms. These players should be grateful to this country and show it
Both WNBA Finals teams run off the court moments before the national anthem for the second straight game, returning seconds after the performance ends.
@Outkick video shows players from the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries are noticeably absent during the anthem ahead of Game 2, as Grammy-winning singer Alanis Morissette performs.
The repeated absence comes despite a WNBA rulebook requirement that players, coaches and trainers stand along the sidelines or foul line during the national anthem.
