A man has reportedly been arrested for allegedly pistol-whipping and threatening to kill Rick Ross' son.
Last Friday (Oct. 16), Don Roberts was booked by the Daytona Police Department in Florida and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated battery, according to police records obtained by XXL on Tuesday (Oct. 20).
Local news station WFTV9 reports that the incident occurred near Bethune-Cookman University on Oct. 11. Rozay's son, Williams Roberts III, told police he was standing on a sidewalk with a woman when a car pulled up, and the driver, identified as Don Roberts, got out and pointed a gun at William.
“I don’t care who your daddy is, I’ll kill you right here,” William told police Don said before striking William on the side of his head with the firearm. William, a former Bethune-Cookman football player, told police he did not need medical help. He later picked Don out of a police lineup.
The incident was not captured on camera. It is unclear what prompted the alleged attack.
XXL has reached out to the Daytona Beach Police Department and Rick Ross' team for comment.
Ross' nemesis 50 Cent has weighed in on the news on social media.
"Damn got the man arrested, 👀why he didn’t just call his dad. He probably called the cops for him. LOL," 50 wrote on Instagram.
"What’s his name, get me his info I’m bonding him out!" Fif typed in a follow-up post before insisting he would be putting Drew Findling on the case.

YNW Melly's attorneys want new evidence tossed and say it was illegally obtained.
The South Florida rapper's double-murder retrial is four months away. On Oct. 9, Melly's legal team filed a motion to suppress Instagram, Snapchat, Google and iPhone evidence collected in a warrant issued in March of 2024 following Melly's first trial.
"The warrants are not supported by probable cause, are overly broad, and contain substantial and material omissions and false representations," the motion reads. "These warrants rely on previously illegally obtained evidence and represent an abuse of the judicial process."
Judge Martin S. Fein has yet to rule on the motion.
YNW Melly is facing the possibility of the death penalty for the 2018 murders of his childhood friends. After his first trial ended in a mistrial in July of 2023, Melly's retrial is scheduled to begin on Jan. 6, 2027. Judge Fein recently ruled that the jury selection process will be livestreamed.

Jaÿ-Z reportedly might make himself the main event to perform at the 2027 Super Bowl halftime show.
With Super Bowl LXI less than four months away, the announcement of who will get the coveted spot to perform during halftime has yet to be made officially. On Tuesday (Oct. 20), PUCK reported that sources tell them Hov has picked himself. According to PUCK, Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber were also considered. It's rumored that Jigga could announce the move during his Los Angeles concert at SoFi Stadium on Friday (Oct. 23). SoFi Stadium will also host the Super Bowl, which takes place Feb. 14.
Despite not putting out an album, Jaÿ-Z has had a comeback year of sorts, performing record-breaking anniversary concerts in New York City over the summer and headlining the Roots Picnic 2026. He's also done multiple rare interviews and released the eight-part HBO docuseries, Jaÿ-Z in 8.
Jaÿ-Z and Roc Nation, which serves as live music strategists for the NFL, have had a hand in picking the Super Bowl halftime show performer since 2020. For the past seven years, the Super Bowl halftime show performer has been announced in September, except The Weeknd in 2021, who wasn't revealed until November.
XXL has reached out to Jaÿ-Z's team for comment.
