Zohran Mamdani’s administration has unveiled new sidewalk shed designs for NYC in an effort to bring better-designed sidewalks to all five boroughs.
The administration has also reduced the number of sidewalk sheds by 1,200 across the city — a decrease of over 15% in 10 months.

Mamdani has continued the work of removing unnecessary sidewalk sheds and tightening rules for property owners, but it was not his administration that presented these designs.
