I am a first-principles cryptopunk pragmatist who cares about making the world better with blockchain. I keep saying: DAOs are no different from companies, limited partnerships, or other forms of organization. They are just companies with better governance tools, transparency, and enforceable rules. Similarly, (blockchain) tokens are no different from paper—paper money bills, paper stock certificates, paper IOUs, paper certificates of deposit. They are just better paper: harder to counterfeit or fraud, programmable, internet-scale, and digitally transferable. You can create fraudulent DAOs that are mere shell companies, just as you can create fraudulent companies without blockchain or smart contracts. You can create frauds and shitcoins, just as you can create pink-sheet trash shares. But you can also build great things. There will be 100x more productivity unleashed by blockchain. People will collaborate via DAOs and other blockchain tools with far more aligned interests, much more transparent governance, much greater trustworthiness, shared intelligence—and be able to gain information fast and smart, act fast, and act powerfully. That’s the true power of DAOs and tokens. The tools can be used for good or for bad. It’s not the tools—it’s the people using them who decide the good or bad we do. I believe that with better-clarified regulation (another way of saying “social consensus” for cryptopunks) and a healthier free market of competition, blockchain provides far better building blocks to empower collaboration, establish trust, and drive impact—likely equal to or greater than what the internet brought to the world. Also, please don’t hate each other. Centralized players, decentralized players, this chain or that chain, this protocol or that protocol—we are all moving in the same direction. We are in this together. It is the incumbent state of human collaboration that needs upgrading. We don’t need to hate each other to appear superior. This new generation of technology is going to be better. We just need to keep building. I am going to keep building, and I urge you, my builder friends, to keep building—to have faith in what we create, and most importantly, to demonstrate our power by building with standardization to show: - that we can collaborate even across different teams - that we can have healthy competition and better serve users - that users have choices, options, and can vote with their feet and money - that when they choose one player, the entire network gains by having more people using blockchain-based software. Let’s keep #BUIDLing!

YES OR NO? The best startups ask how their teammates enable agents to do more, the mediocre ones ask their teammates to stay in office longer

This is Pele, my new rendering library for diagrams and charts, compatible with the latest Mermaid syntax. - 100-500× faster than mermaid.js - 6× smaller bundle - No dependencies - Easy to theme - Responsive to device width In pursuit of making Obsidian insanely fast and cohesively designed, I always found the Mermaid library to be too big, too slow, and too hard to theme. Pele will be the new renderer in the next version of Obsidian, but you can start using it now. Pele [ˈpɛlɛ] is named after the goddess of volcanoes and fire. It's open source under the MIT license. Try the playground!

Remember "we wanted flying cars but we got 140 chars"? Well after getting the 140char, Elon is giving us the flying cars finally
Turns out the future does have flying cars

Dear @clickup , we love "add to priorities". It's such an useful feature! Feature request: but currently your API and MCP doesn't support it, could you kindly add the support? @DJ_CURFEW

Marvelous Design…

1/ Anthropic, you should fire your customer support and fix this privacy issue before it explodes as massive GDPR/CCPA violation.

4/ GDPR Art. 17 and CCPA both give users the right to delete their data. Right now there’s no working path to do that.

Justin Drake’s call for “bunker mode” and mass migration, alongside talk of cryptographic breaks within months, is hyperbolic. There is no evidence of a new attack on elliptic curves or any quantitative basis for a short-term timetable for such attacks emerging. Prominent researchers need to consider how non-experts will receive their language. Speculating that within months individuals could break cryptographic primitives that the internet and digital economy rely on carries consequences. It is a huge leap from AI making progress in other fields of mathematics to predicting the imminent failure of primitives that have faced decades of cryptanalysis. The idea that hash functions are safer from AI than elliptic curves is speculation. Hash functions contain structure, and we model them as random oracles without justifying proofs. There is no evidence that elliptic curve cryptography is more vulnerable to AI than symmetric cryptography. If historical human-led analysis is any predictor of the future, the opposite is more likely. The worst possible reaction to AI developments is to rush into new cryptographic primitives, away from multi-decade old hardened primitives, because somebody is claiming they are safe. I worry that this is an inevitable consequence of the current discourse. Because of the last 48 hours users are worrying about speculative non-existent black hats, who apparently have the capability of signing OS upgrades and forging bank credentials, from draining their wallets. To protect against speculative threats Ethereum is pulling talent and attention into base-layer primitives and technological iteration, instead of increasing demand for block space by building compelling applications users want and love. I don’t want to dismiss the considerable advances in mathematics that AI is driving. It is important to understand the nature of these improvements. If its success in other mathematical fields applies to elliptic curves, my expectation is that AI will grind its way to finding algorithms that improve on the current state of the art. That could mean shaving off a few bits of security. It would be prudent to discuss whether we need to increase key sizes and by how much. I can’t guarantee that AI won’t find total breaks, and neither can anyone else. My speculation as a domain expert does not make my speculation authoritative. We should also be using AI to investigate whether searching the parameter space can yield new, more secure curves. We can investigate whether some of these “structure = bad” hunches have any basis in reality. For example, we could use AI to see if the extra structure in Koblitz curves enables attacks beyond the small speedups we know about. This would give us actual evidence to make informed decisions. If non-experts hear that the cryptography underpinning the digital economy could fail within months, the rational response is to withdraw all digital money (on-chain and off) and hoard gold under the bed. I think the past 48 hours has unnecessarily undermined confidence in the entire concept of blockchains and digital money.

If you want your bot to be powerful, it has to have the ability to communicate with the world. That's why you need domains for all agents.
Grok Bot now has its own email. Bot can use it to sign up for services, contact businesses for you, or schedule time with someone.
