In Orchard and Ironwood, Sinsemilla-based Merkle hashing processes 520 bits in 52 chunks of 10-bit words.
Sinsemilla efficiently hashes the Merkle trees that allow Zcash users to prove their funds exist and can be spent, without revealing which shielded notes belong to them, 10 bits at a time!
