🔥A1X Buyback, Burn & Lock Update Another $A1X buyback has now been completed. This time: • 1,595,865 $A1X bought back • 797,932 $A1X burned • 797,932 $A1X allocated to the Team and locked/vested for 12 months As always, the Team allocation remains locked, and whatever happens once those tokens unlock will be communicated transparently with the community. Running tally from buybacks so far: • Total $A1X bought back: 9,587,138 $A1X • Total $A1X burned from buybacks: 4,798,430 $A1X • Total $A1X allocated to Team and locked/vested: 4,784,479 $A1X This continues alongside the separate commitment to burn the original 120M $A1X Team allocation as it becomes available through vesting. So the approach remains the same: • Regular buybacks • 50% burned • 50% locked for the Team for 12 months • Original Team allocation continuing to be burned • Everything shared transparently with the community Another step forward for $A1X. 📰Can AI make games? This isn't the interesting question - it's: What can a talented 3-person team build tomorrow that used to need 30 people? Epic is reportedly pushing hard into AI-accelerated development, while Unity is already putting AI assistants and agents directly inside the game-development workflow. AI doesn't have to replace a creative team completely - it just gives them the ability to do much more in a smaller amount of time. - A small studio can prototype faster. - A developer can turn an idea into something playable sooner. - Artists can iterate more quickly. - Writers can experiment with reactive characters and dialogue. - Players can turn their own concepts into digital characters in minutes. That's exactly the opportunity we see with Play As Me and the future AI Nexus SDK. Lets not remove the human element from game development! Lets just remove the barrier between "I have an idea" and "I can build this". More creators. More wacky ideas. More experimentation. This is what excites us about the future. Powered by $A1X.

🤯Maybe not then... Last week we said AI could help projects find smart contract vulnerabilities before bad actors do. Reuters just reported that OpenAI had a situation where the AI weakened their own monitoring systems whilst coding. So apparently the new security strategy is: 1. Use AI to protect the system. 2. Use AI to attack the system. 3. Use AI to monitor the AI. 4. Use another AI to monitor that AI. (Hope they don't unionise...) You have to wonder if maybe letting the AI in was the first mistake. Should we just give up and welcome out robot overlords now? Jokes aside - this is exactly why human oversight still matters. AI can be an incredible security tool - It can also decide the security tool is inconvenient... The future is going to be fun. Side note: The recent hacker seems to have calmed down after stealing some cents. A1X pools still safe. All is well.
🚨Security Alert for MultiversX There is currently a hacker exploiting old smart contracts around the ecosystem. Recent events around older smart contracts on xExchange, artCPA and JExchange should be a wake-up call for all of us. First, for our own holders: no $A1X pools have been affected by these incidents. We are actively monitoring the situation and will continue reviewing anything that could create risk for the wider ecosystem. No smart contract is magically safe forever just because it has been running for years and in the age of AI, that matters even more. The same technology that can help developers analyse code, simulate scenarios and spot weaknesses can also help bad actors search for vulnerabilities faster than ever. So we need to make sure the defenders are using these tools first. AI-assisted auditing, testing and continuous review of existing contracts could become just as important as auditing new ones before launch. Unfortunately, these incidents have had real consequences. People have lost funds, NFTs have been stolen, and projects have seen their token prices hit as a result. A special shoutout to @SVictorUniverse, who we can see are dealing with the stolen NFT situation quickly and doing what they can to protect holders. It is horrible to see anyone in the ecosystem affected. But there is also a lesson here: AI isn’t only something we need to protect ourselves from. It can become one of our strongest tools for finding the holes before somebody else does. The technology is moving quickly. Security needs to move with it.

AI does not have to be serious all the time. Everywhere you look, there’s another headline about AI ending civilisation, replacing everyone, or turning the world into a post-apocalyptic Dystopia. These conversations definitely matter without a doubt! But over here at AI Nexus, we’re also asking a slightly different question: What if AI was fun? While everyone else debates the end of civilisation, we’re testing platformers with Benny Hill playing on repeat... Because sometimes the future of AI is a serious global conversation. And other times, it's used to transport you, your dog or even your favourite pop culture reference into a gaming experience. Both can be true. Powered by $A1X.

Play As Me lets you turn yourself, your pet, or anything into a playable 3D avatar. The future SDK will also allow developers to add this feature to their games. Which means yes… Someone is absolutely going to try to put their fridge into a game. Reminds me of that meme of people playing Skyrim on their fridge. Now imagine playing Skyrim as your fridge! And honestly, we respect them pushing the boundaries. Powered by $A1X.

It's important to say that no chain is immune to exploit attempts. Especially now, in the age of AI, attack surfaces can be tested faster than ever. Security isn't about pretending nothing can happen. It's about how quickly a team detects, contains, communicates and recovers in the face of a threat. This is what matters here. The MultiversX team spotted the exploit attempt before holders were harmed and coordinated quickly with validators to protect users. Since then they have worked relentlessly on a fix and hard fork recovery. The official update says the incident is contained. Huge respect to @SasuRobert, @lucianmincu and the whole MultiversX team. I can only imagine the sleepless nights behind the scenes. And huge respect to the community for rallying behind them! This is our home. Let's all keep building.
A different kind of weekly update 🌍 On Sep 19, an attempt to exploit a VM-level issue caused invalid state changes, and network progression was paused to protect users. What happened: 🔍 An actor exploited a VM-level atomicity issue; a fix was prepared the same day 🧩 The root cause: an order-of-operations mistake in edge cases, contained fast thanks to the validators' rapid response Where things stand: 🛡 The incident is contained; the attacker's accounts have been identified and frozen with major exchanges, and law enforcement is engaged 🔧 Recovery will be a coordinated hard fork from a known-good checkpoint, rehearsed on Testnet and Devnet with validators first ⚙️ The code is ready and public, and testing is ongoing ⏸️ Until the all-clear: don't submit or rebroadcast transactions, and don't use EGLD/ESDT deposit and withdrawal routes on exchanges or bridges. Exchanges and bridges will reopen in stages after the restart. A full technical incident report will follow. Thank you to the validators, partners and everyone who stood with the network this week. Our regular recap returns once the network is back, with two weeks of building to catch up on.

CEO Diaries #3 - AI-powered entertainment is still early, but the potential is huge. We understand the concerns around using AI in game development. Human creativity should be protected. Artists, writers, designers, and developers matter. Games should not become a flood of low-effort AI slop. We agree. But AI can also unlock things that were previously difficult, expensive, or impossible to scale. Two big examples: Reactive storytelling and lowering the cost barrier to creation. We are already seeing this with AI-powered games and mods. Skyrim mods now let players adventure with companions that argue, joke, react, and feel more alive. Games like @playsuckup show how AI can create unpredictable dialogue-driven experiences, where no two conversations feel exactly the same. No writing team can plan for every player choice. AI can help games respond in a way that feels more personal, flexible, and alive. The same applies to avatars. Creating a custom in-game 3D model has traditionally been expensive, slow, and out of reach for most players and smaller developers. That is one of the problems we started exploring with Clone Machine. Turning a concept into digital reality for just a few dollars. Now, that same idea is becoming accessible through Play As Me. Users can take themselves, their pet, or almost any concept and turn it into a playable 3D avatar from their phone. Simple. Personal. Affordable. And once ready, we plan to open this concept through our SDK, giving developers a way to bring ideas from concept to digital reality in minutes, at a fraction of traditional production costs. That is where AI-powered entertainment gets exciting. Not replacing creativity. Expanding what creators and players can do with it. Powered by $A1X.
