The distance removes detail, and the people in the frame become faint, ambiguous forms. In post-processing, Frank cut, enlarged, blurred and sharpened these fragments, sometimes adding rough drawings or cloned textures to fill in missing limbs. When I first started my Web3 journey, I didn’t understand everything. there were unfamiliar concepts, new technologies, communities and opportunities that took time to figure out. But one thing kept me interested is the idea that you didn’t have to be a big company or an established institution to participate in something meaningful. You could start by learning, asking questions, joining communities, supporting builders, exploring new ideas, and eventually contributing something of your own. Over time, I’ve come to appreciate that Web3 is not just about the technology or the financial opportunities. It’s also about the people who believe in an idea enough to build around it. Of course, the industry still has a lot to improve. We need simpler experiences, better security, more transparency and opportunities that aren’t limited to people who already understand how everything works. But I still believe in the possibility of an open ecosystem where more people can participate and have their contributions matter. Bitcoin’s whitepaper ended on Page 9, but I believe the most interesting part of the story is what happened after those nine pages. If I had the opportunity to write Page 10, I would write about the power of participation. That’s what I would put on Page 10 The next chapter of Web3 should not only be written by those who arrived first, but also by everyone who deserves an opportunity to be part of the story. Yesterday it was revealed that the Fungo Genesis NFTs are coming on November 5. @FungoLabs will be using Zama's FHE technology to introduce an encrypted bidding system (those who participated in the Zama Auction sale can relate). here's how it works: The first 500 NFTs will be available as a free mint for whitelist holders, followed by a sale of 2,500 NFTs. The sale will use a sealed-bid auction. You bid in cZAMA, choosing your price and the number of NFTs you want. Your bid price and quantity remain encrypted while the auction is open. Only the bidder, timestamp, and number of bids are visible onchain. so, how are winners selected? Once bidding closes, bids are revealed and ranked from highest to lowest. The lowest winning bid that fills the 2,500th NFT determines the final sale price. Every winner pays the same price, regardless of how much they initially bid and any excess cZAMA gets refunded. there are three possible outcomes: → Bids above the final price get their full NFT allocation. → Bids at the final price share the remaining NFTs pro rata. → Bids below the final price receive no NFTs and get their cZAMA refunded. also a few things to remember: → Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn. → There's a small non-refundable encrypted bidding fee. → If demand is below 2,500 NFTs, everyone buys at the lowest bid price. → NFTs mint sealed, and holders decide who can see inside. This is an interesting application of privacy technology beyond just hiding transaction details. FHE is bringing a different approach to onchain auctions. November 5. Mark your calendar.
