It is fascinating to witness the decline in college football attendance across the country in real time.

College football really misses the mark on keeping the energy throughout a game. Constant 3 1/2 minute breaks absolutely kills any environment a game can muster. Asking fans to constantly ramp up their energy is so tiring. Hard to believe how far this sport has fallen

Seeing a lot of pictures of low attendance across CFB today. 1. The cost of living is high. These ticket prices are outrageous. 2. For years college football fans have been loud about not liking the direction the sport is headed. Yet the people in charge have doubled down and ripped away a lot of what made CFB unique and different. Example: 24 team playoff is extremely unpopular amongst CFB fans yet they did it anyway. Ignoring the customers is never a good long term business model.

Late night tweet: College football seems like its at some sort of weird inflection point. Half empty stadiums. Season success solely defined by the plauoff. Roster churn has made even well-coached teams sloppy Not sure the sport is in a better place than it was 5 years ago🤷‍♂️

This might be the worst college football season since I can remember. There is zero elite teams, the ranked teams don’t even look good. NIL has created a lot of parity but the other issue is, it’s created a lack of hunger. College kids ultimate goal was to make it to the league so they can change their families lives, now they get paid that money from the jump and don’t care. You’re seeing it translate into the NFL as well. Idk where this goes from here but I don’t have a good feeling about it. Sports are going downhill fast.
