Mercury 3 is live: the most capable diffusion LLM released to date. It outperforms GPT-6 Luna and Claude Haiku 5.5 across a range of benchmarks while running at over 1,000 tokens per second. More than 40x the size of Mercury 1, 3x more intelligent across standard benchmarks, and just as fast, with a 1M-token context window. Available today on the Inception API, @baseten, and @OpenRouter .

Mark Peng from @Tiny_Fish in an interview with @_inception_ai's Emily Liu: “We’ve been running the latest Mercury 3 diffusion model through our most mature evaluation harness at TinyFish for the web agent and the results have been quite impressive. In terms of task completion and success, it performs on par or better with Sonnet 5.5 from Anthropic and it clearly outperforms GPT Sol, and it does so at less than a tenth of the cost.”
Glad to partner with @_inception_ai for the Mercury 3 launch! Impressive results in TinyFish’s web agent evaluations: frontier-level performance at less than a tenth of the cost. Looking forward to more collaborations ahead.

Yesterday, we launched Mercury 3, our fastest model to date with speeds over 1000+ tokens/second on @nvidia hardware. In this demo from @stefan_webb, we compare Mercury 3 + @opencode against Claude Code with Sonnet 5.5 and other model/harness combinations on a coding task utilizing many subagents running in parallel. A clarification: “Intelligence Index” refers here to a weighted average of the following benchmarks: GDPval, SciCode, Tau3-Banking, AA-Omniscience-Public, IFBench, SO Quality, AA-LCR v1.1, GPQA Diamond, AA-Omniscience-Public (Non-Hallucination), Terminal-Bench v2.1, BrowseComp+, and DeepSearchQA (DSQA) @ 30. This is not the same as Artificial Analysis’s Intelligence Index. We have renamed Intelligence Index to Model Quality, GDPval AA v2 to GDPval, and AA-Omniscience to AA-Omniscience-Public in our announcement blog post to avoid confusion.

Mercury 2 has been named one of @TIME's Best Inventions of 2026! Our first reasoning diffusion LLM, and the first of its kind in production, was recognized in the AI category. Thank you to the judges for recognizing diffusion LLMs as one of the technologies shaping the future of AI. The lower latencies offered by diffusion LLMs opens the door for real-time AI systems like coding models, voice agents, and search engines. It’s a great win for diffusion LLMs. More to come! 🧵

👁️ Mercury Decide now accepts image input, which opens it up to a much wider range of applications: openrouter.ai/inception/merc… In the demo from @stefan_webb, Mercury Decide plays Ring King on NES, using Mercury Decide’s new vision capabilities to understand the state of the game and suggest the next action to take. What about the other applications? (🧵 1/4)

Congrats to the @_inception_ai team on launching Mercury Decide, the highest-accuracy decision model at the lowest cost! Try it from the Baseten Model Library: baseten.co/library/mercury-d…
One week ago we launched Mercury Decide, @_inception_ai System One decision model. It hit #2 on OpenRouter by users, and we've been improving it every day since. Independent results from @ValsAI show that Mercury Decide is more accurate and more affordable than Jev. Proud of how fast this team moves. Free on @OpenRouter and available through the Inception API and @baseten. I'd love to see what you build. openrouter.ai/inception/merc…
