Websites are files on a computer. When you view a website, you are asking the computer to send you the files, then your browser shows them to you.
70% of the websites you see use PHP to make them interactive. So you can send things to the website too and it can respond. E.g. filling in a comment box and hitting 'post' adds the comment as a row to a spreadsheet.
PHP has a flaw in its code that allows anyone to gain control of the computer that has the website on it.
The organisation that provides PHP announced the vulnerability before a patch was available, meaning we're in a window where everyone knows about it (including baddies) but the good guys don't have an official solution.
Some are just turning off their websites and waiting for the solution. Others are trying to fix it themselves. General chaos and lots of stressed techies across literally the entire planet because this affects the entire internet.

Leftist Animator "Terumi Nishii" has endorse Antifa in the destruction of Japanese culture in recent riots, censorship of anime in its entirety, and wanting anime to be used to promote violence within France.
Back in July 2026, Terumi Nishii a veteran animator went viral and received massive backlash from Japan. She wanted "Mii-chan to Yamada-san" anime canceled.
It caused so much controversy that even the Production Committee had to make a Official Statement on it
Their Statement summarized:
"The production committee issued a statement acknowledging the concerns. They said the work was never intended to discriminate against or look down on people with disabilities, that they would consult specialists, respect the original themes, and add appropriate age ratings and content warnings. The anime is still proceeding toward a 2027 release."
Eventually it even caused a organization in Japan that is for disabilities to speak up saying the anime shouldn't be canceled.
Nishii back in 2024 has also wanted any form of "Sexualized Characters" to be removed from anime and manga. Showing clear disgust at "Maison Ikkoku"
Its clear this animator has very bad intentions for anime and manga. When she is even siding with violence to get what she wants.

Just a reminder that in 2025 the government made changes to the P3 visa system that made it harder to apply, take longer, cost more, and no longer give applicants a chance to correct applications that could be denied. Arbitrarily more difficult.

It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the cancellation of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby – 7th EVENT: THE STAGE in LOS ANGELES concerts planned for Oct 22–23, 2026.
Although we have coordinated repeatedly with all parties concerned and explored every possible option in our efforts to make this event happen, we were unable to obtain the necessary visas for entry into the US, so we have come to the painful conclusion that holding the concerts is no longer possible.
To all the Trainers who were eagerly looking forward to the show, we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this causes, and for announcing this so close to the event date.
Due to this cancellation, we will process refunds for the following:
・On-site viewing tickets
・Streaming tickets
In addition, we are looking into possible responses to Trainers who were planning to attend the concert in person. This will take some time, so we ask for your patience. Details will be announced on the 7th EVENT WORLD TOUR official website.

There’s something so quintessentially American about how Americans discuss Digger. OP is 100% correct. But it does really fascinate me how American political existentialism discussions are always conducted through the lens of our relationships with pop culture films & TV shows
I am sorry to be reductionist but so many of the negative Digger reviews seem to boil down to people never questioning their status as citizens of the most powerful empire in the history of the world and resenting the idea that they should just briefly think about it critically.

I’m glad a show talked about this stuff a couple years back, but I think it’s interesting that the conclusion is “maybe you’re healing! also brains can be goofy!” instead of “yeah so it’s really just not a big deal stop overanalyzing what turns you on this could be moral OCD”
it's not a "rape kink." ppl do not engage in CnC cuz they think rape is sexy and want it to happen. It's about being able to have control over a situation many fear that otherwise would be horrifying and traumatizing.

Yeah, I mean, it’s over for international cooperation between JP-US for these events. The US policy is to entertain domestic events first. We’re entering an era where things feel very 2000s. The cool weeb stuff is in JP, not here
this is going to set back international concerts at least a decade if not more, that's hundreds of thousands of dollars lost and companies won't take the risk going forward
