I joined @eric_seufert on the @MobileDevMemo podcast this week to talk about Amazon and agentic commerce. The jumping-off point was a question I wrote about a few weeks ago: why Amazon blocked Meta’s Muse and welcomed ChatGPT Ads into the DSP in the same month. What we covered: - Why retailers’ economic incentives may stop them from fully embracing open agentic commerce platforms - How Amazon’s retail signals (ratings, pricing, inventory, Prime eligibility) inside ChatGPT could change how consumers shop - If people’s desire to browse limits mass adoption of autonomous shopping agents - What happens to brand relationships when an agent mediates the entire path to purchase - Whether Amazon’s control of the full ads and logistics stack is an unbeatable moat against rival shopping agents Episode: open.spotify.com/episode/3az…

Exactly. If you’ve asked yourself “what can I do to support Jewish friends and colleagues during this unprecedented rise of antisemitism in Toronto?” The answer is simple: Vote Brad Bradford Olivia Chow has willfully neglected to combat Jew hatred in our city, prioritizing political appeasement over confronting the extremists responsible for intimidation and harassment.
Replying to @KarlTheMartian
A vote for Olivia is a vote against the Jewish population of toronto. A hundred other reasons not to support her but this one alone is enough.

This company has hammered me with so many instagram ads that it is now economically unfeasible to acquire me as a customer. also note — I will be purchasing this product for my daughter during the holiday season.
The Tin Can maybe be the best gift I’ve ever given my children. They’re little WiFi telephones. Kids get their own phone number, but I control all access through the app. My little boys can call me, mommy, grandparents, each other, and 911. That’s it. (And those are the only numbers that can call them. Totally safe.) $8/mo per line. Easy peasy. Love it for a few reasons: • Random phone calls from your little ones at work is life giving • They can stay in touch with their grandparents, and surprise them with calls • They have a way to call 911. Like most houses, we’re cell phone only these days. Having this method for them to contact grandparents or 911 for an emergency is a comfort. No affiliation to them. Just love the product and wanted to share.

If true, Apple potentially kneecapping hundreds of independent identity and data companies on iOS could be a massive boon for Amazon DSP. Amazon doesn’t need to rely on the same third-party identity infrastructure, instead its powered by its own first party identity spine. Amazon just keeps on winning.

queue the flurry of adtech m+a to build up skydance's ad biz
What once was the peak, is now just the beginning. Paramount and Warner Bros. shaped over a century of culture. By combining them, we aren't rewriting history — we're equipping these iconic studios with a more powerful engine. Together, we are Skydance: a creative-first home for bold, quality storytelling. We chose this name for a few important reasons. First and foremost, as we bring Paramount and Warner Bros. together, we wanted to preserve what has made each of these studios iconic. Both have distinct identities, extraordinary legacies and brands that have resonated with audiences for generations. We never wanted a new corporate identity to diminish, alter or overshadow either one. Instead, we wanted a name that would give the combined company an identity of its own while allowing Paramount and Warner Bros. — and all our extraordinary brands — to remain in the spotlight. We have big goals for Skydance, and we intend to pursue them with passion, imagination and a willingness to take smart risks. At the same time, we will honor what makes Paramount and Warner Bros. special — giving both studios the opportunity to grow, tell more great stories and bring those stories to even broader audiences around the world, powered by the scale and capabilities of Skydance. I couldn’t be more excited about what we’re going to build together.

Primary benefit of wired headphone next few years will be accuracy in talking to AI AirPods still have too many inaccuracies especially when walking outside.
The iPod comeback reminded everyone how good wired headphones sound the missing piece was always noise cancellation and Bose just filled that gap wired buds are moving past the performative phase and becoming a deliberate choice Curious if Apple will follow
