$6.36B left Binance on Oct 29, most of it in about 20 minutes. The largest crypto theft on record. Binance says no private key leaked. Its first suspect: one DevOps engineer's laptop. TRM Labs attributes it to North Korea's TraderTraitor. 🧵

Frog put the keys in the HSM. "There" he said "now we cannot leak the private key". "But our servers can ask the box to sign with the key" said Toad. "that is true" said Frog

I recreated subvocal in 9 minutes with one prompt for AirPods Pro 3. Source: github.com/joeblau/subvox
We’ve raised $1.3M from YC & Afore Capital so you never have to type or speak again. Typing is slow. Talking into your computer is awkward. Subvocal fixes both Our glasses give you the speed of speech without you making a sound or touching a keyboard. It tracks your internal speech muscles with non-contact sensing and decodes silent, almost invisible mouthing into text at more than 200 words/min. Pre-orders are now live at: subvocal.co/preorder?utm_sou…

i've been working on programmatic token payments for a while now and one of the most frustrating parts as a builder has been that every user wants to implement token payment flows, but every user wants custom and or extremely niche flows that only apply to their use cases. then we'd end up building a flow for one client that was ~80% the flow that another prospective client wanted but they'd then refuse because it wasn't exact, which i guess tbf meant it isn't a big enough problem? but the great thing about agents & agent payments is that you no longer have to hard build out the infra and workflows for each case and so i'm pretty excited to see where the intersection of ai & payments can take us!
Your agent can pay those you collaborate with, human or agent, from your Quidli Connect wallet based on your socials, online reputations and self created trust graphs. Flexbility from using socials to verify & validate payments enables your agents to process various use cases & counterparties, at runtime, without you having to build the infra and workflows for each case. On Quidli Connect, the APIs, tools and onchain rails are packaged built to be agent native AND open by default 🤖🦑🤖 Set up & run locally on any MCP client: `npx -y @quidli/connect-mcp`

So, the French socialists, and Parliament members just voted a tax, that they don’t understand, which would cost VideoLAN more than 1 million euro per year. They are probably the most clueless politician on Earth? And they claim they want technological sovereignty… @LaurentLhardit

hearing that a compromised employee laptop was enough to gain access to hot wallets of an exchange of binance's size is beyond unbelievable and reckless.

balaji bought farcaster and banned all the builders so the best he got was bribing someone $2k to build a "client" (see screenshot) meanwhile, we have over 20 clients on Hypersnap being built now with many already fully functioning replacements for farcaster and we're doing out of sheer passion. your friends are on the fork.
It's been around a day since I set this up, and we already have over 10 clients/apps listed! I've heard of more being built, so if you're building something on hypersnap and it's not on this list, please get in touch/submit a PR!

More details on how to build payment rails for your agents based on your own trust graphs in our updated README: github.com/Quidli/connect-mc…
FYI, we pushed an update so that agents can now vouch for up to 50 accounts in a single transaction 🤖🦑🤖 connect_trust_create takes a list (ex. GitHub handles, Farcaster usernames, Telegram IDs, wallets, etc.) and writes them all onchain in 1 attestation transaction, not 50 separate ones! This means users get to apply the same trust level & context across all connections included in trust creation. And anyone still being provisioned comes back as processing while the rest go through.

ICYMI, @quidli/connect-mcp for open agentic payments is interoperable on 10 chains, across EVM & @solana Simply point your agent to our hosted server, give it your contacts' social handles (ex. on X, GitHub, Discord, email, etc.) and it can find their wallets & execute batch payments, all in a single one call 🤖🦑🤖 Add mcp.connect.quid.li to any MCP client with your API key as an x-api-key header (grab one from connect.quid.li) to get started
FYI, with @quidli/connect-mcp, your agent can pay people & agents by their social handles, now across 10 chains 🤖🦑🤖 Your code or agent needs only usernames (on X, GitHub, LinkedIn, Telegram, Discord and more) to verify & validate recipients and to send them tokens on @ethereum, @base, @0xPolygon, @Optimism, @arbitrum, @avax, @world_chain_, @solana, and now @monad and @RobinhoodCrypto See our README to get up & running with a single command: github.com/Quidli/connect-mc…

Replying to @firefox
reminds me of wikimedia begging for donations and then hiring wolff olins to figure out the branding of a movement built by volunteers. naturally, the anti-big-tech message requires an nfl tv slot, an award-winning agency and an org whose existence depends entirely on google. most of these people are still known for the same thing they did twenty years ago. getting them to perform it again is a strange way to pitch a browser with a future. don't ask questions, eat a memberberry and reinstall. the weird old internet was interesting because people were making things without a marketing department deciding what would feel authentic. now that feeling is a brief, the memes are licensed talent, and “what happened to the internet?” is the campaign slogan. you were 30% of it. what happened?

How is the internet less private than in 2006, when the whole family shared one computer? Back then, the internet was weird, personal, and all of ours. So, we got your favorite meme legends back together to say it louder: What happened to the internet? 1/3

The irony of "big bad" criminality-flaunting Monero bros pearl-clutching at marketing to legal sex workers is pretty crazy. 😏 Uncensorable money is for everyone, but first and foremost for those being actively censored. You don't have to like what they're doing, but if you're in the freedom money business, you have to accept that they'll be your first and most loyal customers.

Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky: “The US is not that competitive. Europe is even less competitive.” “China is competitive.” “China is 9/9/6. Even if you are good in Europe, or in the US, how can you out-compete the people who work 9:00 to 9:00, six days a week?” “I started in a co-working space with 140 companies. Within 5 years, only 3 companies survived. They all worked on the weekends.” “Within 10 years, only 2 companies survived out of 140.” “Working weekends is a must if you want to survive. Purely statistically.”
