The @premierleague needs to ask itself what type of owner would they like for PL teams, one that invests their own money, on the squad, in youth, the facilities, the fans, the area, in football or one that bury's a club in huge debt, doesn't invest in facilities, the area or fans
🎙"City has gone out, regenerated the area, built the squad/players and put on a superb show. Utd have spent more and plunged the club in debt. Yet #ManCity are the ones everyone has a pop at.. "One (City) is vilified and the other (Utd) has no points deducted, no sanctions" 😡

Exactly this! This is why I can't be angry with our owners, they've spent their own money on my club & have transformed the club, the ground, the area, the quality we see on the pitch & made the matchday experience superb with no debt to the club, brilliant owners @premierleague
🚨 Ohara & Cundy On Man City 👀 🗣"When you're looking at what Utd's owners are doing to THAT club.. I'd rather have #ManCity's owners 100%. They've changed their football club, made it better, more global and signed best players. And Sheikh Mansour spent his own money" 👏

This is extremley relevant, as the media keep throwing around a £1b when indeed the amount is highly likely to be far far less, if indeed the guilty conclusions remain after appeal @Sjopinion10 @talkSPORT
Seems to have been “forgotten” that every commercial deal with an associated party (a broad definition beyond related parties) has required formal fair market value assessment AND Premier League approval since December 2021. Even before that, related party transactions were always permitted up to fair market value. ADUG could have taken every sponsorship property themselves for FMV. FMV was far in excess of the “Base Fees” found by the IC. We do not know the delta between the total recorded Sponsorship Amounts and FMV at this stage. But it will not total anywhere near £830m. This doesn’t change the core findings of the IC in terms of sham agreements but does change the likely counter factual in compensation claims and may well be relevant in assessing calculations at appeal and sanction.

So true, as if you could have any sensible, neutral viewpoint @SkySportsPL when you have such presenters & commentators. That was shambolic, @GNev2 @Carra23 Keane, even Drury, it was simply their opportunity to spew the deeply embedded hate for City!!
Sky Sports coverage That was a party political broadcast by the Red Cartel party Absolute disgrace from Carragher and Neville

So true this!!!
There’s something about watching a big German Shepherd turn into an absolute softie around a little kid. These dogs can look intimidating to a stranger, but put them next to their favorite tiny human and you see a completely different side. The patience, the curiosity, and the way these babies light up around them are something special. Some of these moments will make you laugh. Others might just melt your heart. Just wait until you see how these friendships unfold.

One is obliged, when contemplating the reported discussions between Manchester City and the Premier League over the matter of sanctions, to confront a rather stark choice. Either the club’s owners are so deranged, or so monumentally obtuse, as to spurn any offer of settlement that might mitigate their predicament or they are in possession of evidence that would, if ventilated, prove distinctly inconvenient to their accusers. Of the former proposition there is conspicuously little supporting testimony. Of the latter, the club’s conduct has been, from the first, both consistent and unyielding. It is not without significance that these conversations took place before the liability findings were permitted to leak into the public domain. Some years ago I ventured the prediction that the entire affair would most probably conclude in a negotiated arrangement that City could accept. The meeting in question may well have been no more than a polite inquiry as to the precise terms on offer, an elementary precaution that any serious party would take. We are invited to believe, on the strength of secondary and carefully non-attributable briefings, that the League’s proposal consisted merely of financial penalties. What if, however, City’s counter-stipulation was that certain of the more grave charges be withdrawn? Such a demand would be wholly congruent with a sustained insistence upon innocence; it would not, by any reasonable standard, constitute evidence of lunacy or incompetence. The proprietors of Manchester City are not, whatever the more febrile organs of the British press may imply, frivolous or unworldly men. A negotiation worthy of the name is one from which each side emerges with something it can claim as a gain. That the League declined the terms City was prepared to entertain suggests either a failure of realism or the operation of other, less elevated, pressures. One cannot entirely dismiss the possibility that clubs enjoying an unusually intimate relationship with the League’s machinery exercised a veto upon any compromise that might have left City less than comprehensively chastised. City are therefore left with no alternative but to pursue, with all available vigour, the avenues of appeal and, if necessary, the ordinary courts of law. Only by such means can a measure of daylight be forced upon a process that has so far preferred the comforts of confidentiality. Sunlight, as the proverb has it, remains the most reliable disinfectant. It is by no means impossible that the club has reserved certain of its more potent materials, allowing the League to advance fully into the open before deploying evidence that would prove acutely embarrassing to the institution, to its chief executive, and to those who installed him. There exists, a genuine institutional jeopardy for the Premier League in any examination conducted at arm’s length from its own preferences. That jeopardy has always constituted a not inconsiderable part of City’s bargaining position. I'm not saying any of the above is true or accurate. As always I present an argument to try to help people think about this properly in the face of hysterical and negative media who far from doing their job are engaged in an unprecedented blood lust where all journalistic standards have been used to wipe their arses with after shitting clicks for their owners and the ravenous, anonymous and psychopathic beast the algorithm. #algobitches

Excellent viewpoint, hard to argue with!!👏👍
The timing of the leak and the subsequent publication of the guilty verdict by the Premier League was calculated and deliberate. ✅United have had a disastrous start to the season: their team looks listless and another £1bn of spend is required to compete. ✅More borrowing is needed as finances become ever more stretched. ✅A stadium getting more dilapidated by the day, with huge investment required. Contrast this with City: ✅A phenomenal transfer window, a newly expanded stadium, a new 400-bed hotel, upgraded hospitality suites and a spectacular fanzone. ✅City’s attendances now topping 60,000. ✅7 wins from 7 games – the season is looking very promising. The Premier League sat on this verdict for two years, and all we got after all that time was a lightweight, redacted report. The Premier League were hoping City would fade away. They were biding their time, but as this season progressed and City kept improving, the pressure built: “Where is the verdict?” The contrasting fortunes of the two big teams in Manchester became ever more apparent: City getting stronger, United getting weaker and staring into the abyss. The Manchester City juggernaut had to be stopped. The decision that had been postponed for two years finally had to be taken to halt City in its tracks and to save United from oblivion. The timing was chosen for maximum impact, maximum attention, maximum exposure and maximum damage – with no Premier League games for three weeks, there would be no distractions. The verdict wasn’t just announced; it was aggressive and vitriolic. It wasn’t the act of an independent regulator passing a verdict; it was a regulator attacking with venom against a foe, not behaving as an impartial, fair‑minded regulator. City cannot be cowed. We must stand up for truth and justice and take this case as far as necessary to clear our name.

Stan lad, better research needed. Uk is approx £3.5T GDP, Abu Dabi £1.2T, UK's debt is 93%, Abu Dabi less than 19%. Abu Dabi has wealth fund of £1.8T in assets, the UK none, indeed our net worth is minus £760B, Abu Dabi net worth is almost £3T👍 @StanCollymore
The UK economy is £3 trillion Abu Dhabi £250bn Time for the tail to stop wagging the dog. Cut any country loose that blackmails this country and see them as an active security threat.
