Honoured to engage with Dr. @MrKRudd, former Prime Minister of Australia and Global President & CEO of @AsiaSociety, during his first visit to India since returning to lead the organisation. Our conversation focused on Asia’s evolving strategic architecture and geopolitical future, including the changing regional landscape, India’s growing role in shaping Asia’s trajectory, and the opportunities for deeper engagement across the Indo-Pacific. It was a privilege to exchange perspectives with one of the leading global voices on Asia, international affairs and the forces shaping our region. @AsiaSocietyIC @akshmathur

Thanks to @AsiaPolicy for having me on #AsiaInsideOut for a great chat with @faamer. A few things I shared: - India's biggest bottlenecks in Al aren't chips or power. It's not having enough skilled people, data, and research. - Countries like India could focus on smaller, domain-specific models like ones for healthcare, while the US and China build the big, general models. - My take is, success in 5 years won't be about having one super AI model. It'll be about whether India gets companies, colleges, startups, and the government all working together to drive truly innovative R&D Watch the full conversation: piped.video/EUyqbpeXHMc
