We ended up with something akin to the Primer from The Diamond Age and most people are not losing their minds over how cool that is.

GPT-6 Astra got +80% on a Physics benchmark. It insisted the expert results were wrong and its calculations were right. A team checked. And yes. GPT-6 Astra was right. New score: 98%

Loved the resource when I was first ramping up in UE5's C++, easiest recommendation ever.
Five years ago today, I launched my Unreal Engine C++ course. Today, the completely rebuilt UE5 edition is LIVE! With 30+ hours of newly recorded lessons, redesigned code and gameplay systems, and a new curriculum. Existing C++ students get it for FREE! tomlooman.com/courses/unreal…

one of the best ways you can experience this is turn on a cold shower, and notice what happens to your body as you’re about to go in, then train yourself to unbrace… and then apply that same move to everything in increasingly subtle ways

We used to estimate “tickets” in “story points” and you could get away with building CRUD API for 2 weeks

AI made software cheap to build. A startup can get an MVP to market in hours. But nobody is using 100 times as many applications. Faster development does not make it easier to discover what people want. Without talking to users, you simply build the wrong thing faster. A product is a promise that its creator understands the user’s problem, has the judgment to solve it, and will keep doing the work after the user comes on board. A landing page, a Stripe integration, and a working first iteration prove only that the thing can be built. In 2026, that is no longer enough. Crickets at launch are just the starting point. The continued work and advocacy are where real growth happens.
