if you ever think this you are almost certainly wrong
What’s a polite way to tell someone, “I’m not discussing this with you because your entire understanding of the subject is built on so many interconnected misconceptions that correcting them would require uninstalling your current worldview and starting the tutorial from birth”?

at first glance you can do an ai successionism reading of ratatouille however you forget that Remy wasn't merely a book trained looking for embodiment he lived in the attic of a French woman who basically raised him on her cooking
Ratatouille is such a great movie because it’s ruthlessly in favor of meritocratic inegalitarianism. “Anyone can cook,” not “everyone can cook.” The duty of Chef Linguini is to forfeit his arbitrary inherited status as a human and serve to elevate the deserving übermaus Remy.

It is an honor to announce The Atelier (@TheAtelierSF), a 10,745 square foot community co-working and co-creation space in the heart of San Francisco for the curious, ambitious, and deeply passionate, opening early to mid December 2026. I envision it as a home for people and teams pursuing work in technology, creative arts, research, everything in between, and endeavors we have yet to see; for laser-focused execution, childlike exploration, and creating from the heart; for the cross-pollination of people, experiences, knowledge, and ideas; for falling in love with the process and learning about it all together. I have dreamed of creating a safe, beautiful, and vast environment for deep work and creative flow. The moment I stepped foot into this space on the top floor, with sunlight pouring through the loft's tall arched windows and pooling across its century-old wooden floors, I knew in my gut this was the one. I felt immense awe for its enduring beauty across decades, and for the care that has been put into it. The building itself has witnessed twelve decades of San Francisco history; designed by Albert Pissis, the architect of Hibernia Bank, it started as the home for the California Casket Company, survived the 1906 earthquake, and in the late 2010s, housed Y Combinator on one of its floors. Walking through the loft gives me the same feeling of both vastness and smallness I feel when I am surrounded by redwoods; the space opens in all directions, with its black steel beams reaching far above, and its walls stretching further than you expect. It fills me with a deep gratitude for this world, for simply being alive, and for the gifts of awareness, agency, and creation itself. It is a blessing and joy to be able to bring The Atelier to life in such a space. The Atelier's goal is to honor the ethos of San Francisco as the place for innovation, optimism, and living the future in the now, where anything is possible, and provide a new sacred space within it. If this sounds like the place for you too, I would love to share this space with you, and encourage you to apply for our membership. More details can be found below.

everything is a public transport problem actually: - isospatial rent in sf is actually cheaper than nyc - storefront rent is cheaper in sf - coffee is more expensive in sf - but isochronic rent is much more expensive in sf due to bart/muni being slow
this used to be ubiquitous in SF before rent prices made it unsustainable to maintain :'(
