It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing away of Harrison Schaen. Former Mater Dei HS/Santa Ana CA star & Princeton University forward had suffered a severe stroke over a year ago & was finally overcome by failing organs. I had the luxury of coaching Harrison on my Belmont Shore club team when he was in HS & he was a very talented person on and off the court. Started for Mater Dei in MD's ESPN2 televised game vs St. Vincent/St. Mary HS/Akron OH & @KingJames at my 2003 Pangos Dream Classic at UCLA Pauley Pavilion. Godson of the late Hugh Hefner was beloved by everyone he came into contact with. I feel fortunate to have visited him recently at his convalescent home in San Diego. I will miss him dearly. I love you Harrison. May your memory be eternal

6’6 PG Chase Robertson is one of the best players in the 2027 class & he has a chance to be a pro! I do not throw that “pro” word out there like many others do. His potential size, strength, athleticism, competitiveness and IQ puts him on another level amongst his peers!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Heidi Burge Horton. Heidi was a cherished member of the Virginia Women’s Basketball family, her legacy will forever be a part of Virginia Athletics. Our sincere condolences to her family and loved ones.
